🌬️ HELP US GET A HEAD START ON NEXT SUMMER! 🌬️

I know it feels like I’m constantly asking for something—but this time, we’re trying to plan ahead and take advantage of a great sale through our Tractor Supply outside sales manager.

The 20-inch high-velocity fans are on sale for $49.99 each through September 26. These are honestly my preference because they’re durable, move a lot of air, and are light enough for me to move around easily. With an inexpensive bracket, we can also mount them safely off the ground in our outdoor kennels—away from curious dogs and lifted legs! 😂

We currently have two fans for the outdoor kennels, but we need eight more for next summer, especially as we expand our kennels to accommodate the Hartford dogs. That makes our total goal $399.92.

We’ve already had two fans purchased for our hurricane shelter, and we are incredibly grateful!

Just wanted to share some of the wonderful sounds that these dogs make early in the morning. I had to share it because it cracks me up when they do it except for when they decide to do it at 2 o’clock in the morning.
Astrid sleeps on my pillow with her head in my face and that little High pitched howling she’s makes my ears bleed!! ( not really) but dang!!

Anyone wants some bottle baby goats?😩

💜 Thankful Thursday 💜

We’ve had a couple Chewy boxes show up this week, plus an Amazon box that is still sitting there unopened because apparently I need to apply for an extra 6 hours in every day. 😂

So first, thank you to everyone sending food and supplies our way. Every box that lands here is one less thing we have to scramble for, and we appreciate every bit of it.

And a huge thank you to Kelly for transporting some of our puppies to be fixed this morning! 🐾❤️

Now… it has been a minute since I had to get up early, load dogs, and function like a responsible adult before my body had officially agreed to participate.

Pretty sure it almost killed me. 😂

I am tired, y’all. The kind of tired where you wake up and immediately wonder why going to sleep didn’t seem to accomplish anything.

I just want to feel like me again.

But this morning, I’m choosing thankful anyway.

Thankful I woke up.
Thankful the dogs woke up.
Thankful puppies are getting fixed.
Thankful boxes keep showing up.
Thankful there are still people standing beside this Rescue.

Some mornings gratitude looks peaceful and inspirational.

Other mornings it looks like “Well… I’m awake. That’s a start.” 😂💜🐾

Do you ever look at all the animals being dumped and left on the side of the road and wonder, what kind of people are we living among?

Who could do something like that—and why? Do they not have hearts? Are they simply ignorant and uneducated? Do they truly not know any better, or do they just not care?

Is this the kind of society we want to live in?

Animal welfare in our area is absolutely appalling.

The number of animals being dumped is awful.
The number sitting in overcrowded shelters and rescues is awful.
The number of unwanted puppies being born is awful.
And the number of kittens being born into suffering is absolutely God-awful.

This will never change until people start caring enough to demand change. Spay and neuter your pets. Keep them contained. Stop breeding animals you cannot guarantee homes for. Hold people accountable for abandoning them.

Animals deserve better than what our community is giving them—and every single one of us should be ashamed that this has become normal.

🐾 Wish List Wednesday 🐾

We just placed our food order for the week, and you know what they say—easy come, easy go. 😬

After paying $600 last week to file the paperwork to change our 501(c)(3) status and more than $1,200 in electric bills, we stretched our budget to the absolute max. This week, there’s simply nothing left to stretch.

Today, we’re asking specifically for:

* Purina ONE puppy food—we’re on our last bag
* Purina ONE Vibrant Maturity wet food—we’re on our last case for the senior dogs
* Purina Dog Chow—we will still be short this week

If you can send even one bag or one case from our wish lists, it would be a tremendous help. Every meal matters when this many little faces are depending on us. ❤️🐾
