The local veterinarians of Lake Country Veterinary Care proudly serve pet parents in Syracuse, Marcellus, Skaneateles, Marietta, Camillus and the surrounding area. Our services include wellness exams, sick visits, vaccinations, microchipping, X-rays, ultrasound, in-house lab, soft tissue surgery, dental procedures, pain management, and rehabilitation including laser therapy, rehab therapy modaliti

🐾 Get to know Dr. Kanoza who will be joining us at Lake Country next month! 🩺💙

“My journey in deciding to become a veterinarian began before I started school. Every day, I went to a babysitter while my parents went to work and my older sisters went to school. My sitter at the time had 3 dogs, one of which was the most loveable pug you could ever meet named Putter 🥰 He always let me cart him around in a little grocery cart, stick him in the high chair, follow me around, take naps with me during the day, and would snuggle up next to me while I watched my shows. He was my absolute favorite part of being dropped off at the sitters each day. My love for animals was sparked at that early age spending every day with him and her other dogs, growing a close relationship with them and learning to love them as if they were my own. From then, I realized getting to have that close relationship with animals was what I was passionate about and that nothing else could compare to that feeling of being loved and getting to love an animal.”

‼️ New Doctor Alert ‼️ We are so excited to welcome Dr. Kanoza back home to Central New York 🎉 as she looks to join the LCVC team in June and start seeing patients along side Drs. Ambrosie, Bogumil, and Ornitz. Please read a little more about Dr. Kanoza below and help us welcome her to the practice! 🐕 💗 🐾 🐈‍⬛

My name is Dr. Becca Kanoza and I am a graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. While there, I gained a strong foundation in small animal medicine and developed a special interest in both internal medicine and surgery. I really enjoy the variety these areas offer and the opportunity to follow cases closely while also providing hands-on care in the surgical setting.

Originally from Syracuse, New York, I now live in Camillus and am very excited to be back in Central New York with my friends and family. I am really looking forward to building relationships with clients while caring for their pets as if they were my own.

At home, I keep busy with my two dogs, Barkley, a lazy French Bulldog with a big personality, and Dudley, an affectionate Aussie-doodle mix with endless energy. I am also looking forward to adding another furry family member in the near future.

When I’m not in the clinic, I really enjoy discovering new coffee shops and bakeries, often on the hunt for a sweet treat. I love to spend time outdoors hiking local trails, as well as staying active with Pilates and cycling classes. Lastly, one of my favorite ways to unwind is visiting with my nephew, Benjamin, who never fails to make me laugh.

My number one value is building strong connections with both pets and their owners by practicing the best medicine and I will strive to make every visit a positive experience.

Dr. Ambrosie and our certified rehab tech, Jessie, spent 3 days of CE at a Pain Management and Rehab conference soaking up all the information 🤓 They learned about emerging modalities 🩺☯️ and enhanced their skills 🙌🏼 to help keep everyone from sporting dogs 🐕 to geriatric companions comfortable at every phase in their life 💕 🐾 To learn more about these options, call to schedule an appointment. Jessie is seeing new clients every month on Friday 💫
