Meet the Doodles! Recently our Marathon Campus was involved in a hoarding/backyard breeding situation. Overall, the conditions were horrific and the animals were severely neglected. These Doodles grew up in such terrible conditions that they have a long road to recovery emotionally. What these Doodles need now are loving, patient and responsible homes that are willing to continue working with these dogs and keep the bonded pairs together.

Scarlett and Taylor, the two females black and grey in color, have come the furthest along in their trust and socializing journey. Barkey and Fezick, the two black and white males, clearly suffered the most abuse. Their journey may be longer, and slower, but our hearts are confident that someone out there can give them the type of life they've never experienced, and certainly deserve.

The Doodles still have a long way to go, but the best place for them to learn, grow and trust is in a home. If you can open your heart to a pair of Doodles in need please reach out to the Marathon Campus for more information on these special pups by calling 305-743-4800.

Meet our sweet boy Ace! This handsome young boxer mix is somehow still waiting for someone to adopt him at our Marathon Campus! Ace has a golden retriever-like personality - he's funny, energetic and affectionate, but also knows how to read the room and get along with lower energy dogs. He has proven to be our most dog-friendly dog at the shelter, so much so that we use him as a model for initial introductions with new dogs.

We recently had the pleasure of grooming this lovely adult lady for the Florida Keys SPCA, and she was an absolute dream! ✨

She’s clearly an experienced pro when it comes to being pampered—she was so sweet, cooperative, and wonderful throughout her grooming session. 🥰 But what really stood out was her gentle, loving personality.

This beautiful girl would make someone an amazing companion and best friend. She deserves a loving home where she can spend her days being cherished, spoiled, and giving all the love she has to offer. ❤️

There are some dogs you never meet, yet somehow they become part of your life.

Tucker was one of those dogs.

For years, we watched Tucker and Courtney share their lives with the world. Through the silly moments, the adventures, the celebrations, and all the little everyday moments that made so many of us smile, Tucker became so much more than a dog on a screen. He became a familiar face, a source of joy, and a part of our extended dog-loving family.

Today, our hearts are absolutely broken.

As people who have devoted our lives to caring for dogs, we know how deeply they become woven into our hearts. We feel the loss of every one of our furry clients. Every goodbye hurts. Every empty bed, every name we no longer see on our schedule, every family we watch walk through our doors without their beloved companion stays with us.

We don’t normally post about the dogs we lose.

Not because they aren’t important. Quite the opposite. Their passing feels too personal. These dogs aren’t just clients to us. They become part of our family, and sometimes there simply aren’t words public enough for a grief that feels so private.

But Tucker feels different.

We have watched him and Courtney for his entire social media life. We laughed with them, smiled at them, and followed along as Tucker grew from a goofy golden into a dog who somehow became a part of millions of people’s lives.

And while we never had the privilege of caring for Tucker ourselves, as a dog boarding and grooming family, we felt like we knew him.

Tucker was one of ours, too.

Courtney, we are so incredibly sorry. Thank you for sharing Tucker with all of us for all these years. Thank you for giving the world the gift of knowing his goofy smile, his personality, his sweetness, and that unmistakable Tucker spirit.

We know that no words can make this hurt less. We only hope you can feel how many people are grieving alongside you and holding you in their hearts.

Run free, sweet Tucker. 🌈🐾
Your earthly job is done.

You brought happiness to more people than you could ever have known.

And now you have your wings. 🤍
