Dear Dove Mountain Veterinary Family,

We are excited to announce that Dr. Arevalo will be joining the Dove Mountain Veterinary team! Her first day with us will be on Tuesday, September 22nd, and we are very excited to welcome her to our hospital.

Meet Dr. Arevalo:

Dr. Ashlee Arevalo is a recent graduate of the University of Arizona College of Veterinary
Medicine. Originally from Southern California, she moved to Arizona for veterinary school andquickly fell in love with the desert. She looks forward to continuing to call Arizona home as shebegins her career and getting to know the patients, families, and community she will have the opportunity to care for.

Dr. Arevalo earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis. She enjoys all aspects of companion animal practice, with a particular interest in preventive medicine and providing compassionate care to pets and their families. As a new graduate, she is excited to continue learning and growing as a veterinarian.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Arevalo enjoys spending time with her fiancé, family, friends, and her cats. She also enjoys horseback riding, spending time outdoors, and traveling.

We know you'll enjoy getting to know Dr. Arevalo, and we are confident she will provide exceptional care for you and your pets. If you're scheduling an upcoming appointment, we hope you'll consider booking with her!

We are excited to announce that Dr. Bristow will be joining the Dove Mountain Veterinary team! His first day with us will be Monday, July 27th, and we are thrilled to welcome him to our hospital.

As we continue to grow, adding another veterinarian allows us to better serve our clients by increasing appointment availability and continuing to provide the compassionate, high-quality care you have come to expect.

Meet Dr. Bristow:

Dr. Bristow was born and raised in Tucson. Prior to vet school he worked as a technician and attended the University of Arizona to earn a B.S. in veterinary science. He earned his DVM degree from Colorado State University in 2026 and has recently moved back to Tucson to start his career. He has special interests in preventative care, nutrition, surgery, and shelter medicine. Dr Bristow loves to spend time outdoors and traveling to new places. During his days off he likes to hang out with family and friends and spend time with his bunny and dogs.

URGENT BOLO: This pup was attacked by a coyote last night but escaped. Now hurt & lost in the vicinity of Hunter Rd (La Cholla Blvd & Moore Rd) TUCSON/MARANA/ORO VALLEY AZ. No collar or tags, but she is microchipped. Please report any sightings to 602-697-3157. She’s wounded & might need immediate care. Call or text 602-697-3157

Well… today was definitely a reminder that rattlesnake season is here 🐍

Not only did we treat TWO rattlesnake bites today, but we also had a rattlesnake greet us right at our back bench area 😳

Please be extra mindful when out walking with your pets, hiking, or even just stepping outside at home. Watch where you and your pets are walking, especially around bushes, rocks, shaded areas, and patios.

To help keep your pups safe, we offer rattlesnake avoidance training the last Sunday of every month! It’s a great way to help teach dogs to recognize and avoid rattlesnakes before a dangerous encounter happens. Call the clinic at 520-448-9690 to schedule today!

This week we’re celebrating Veterinary Customer Service Representative Week! 🐾🎉

Our CSRs are the heart of our hospital. They are the first friendly voice you hear on the phone, the welcoming smile at the front desk, and the calm presence during some of the most emotional moments. They juggle phones, appointments, questions, and concerns all while making sure every client and patient feels cared for.

Their compassion, patience, and dedication do not go unnoticed. They truly make a difference in the lives of our clients, patients, and our entire team every day!
