👋Hey friends! There's a lot to say about FRESHLY MILLED FLOUR. It seems to be all the rave lately. More and more homemakers are adding a mill to their kitchen tool belt. Fresh milled flour is more nutrient dense, more flavorful, easier to digest, less of a blood sugar spike for some, unbleached and pure. It has many health advantages and we know this personally as my daughter has a severe gluten allergy/possible celiac diagnosis. I can attest to her health that she is much better when consuming freshly milled flour. The one thing that intrigues me the most about freshly milled flour is the comparison of bread to Jesus in the Bible. He refers to himself as the bread of life. (John 6:35) He himself is life giving and so it's appropriate to say during that time that bread was a substantial source to keep one healthy, right? He doesn't compare himself to something delightful to the eye but yucky on the inside, no he compares himself to the nutrient dense whole package that bread gives. Life giving and sustaining. In Duetoronomy 24:6, it says you would be taking the life of someone if you took their millstone in a pledge. Unable to make their bread, unable to take in the nutrients to survive. While freshly milled flour has helped us on so many levels, it's still unable to provide all you need spiritually. Only Jesus can do that. He is the bread of life. He is the way, the truth and the life. The only way to the Father is through Him. Abide in him and he will abide in you, otherwise you are still just dead flour. 🙌🏼

One really cool thing about our property is the abundant amount of Native American artifacts that we have found. From arrowheads to knapping stones, it's been fun to find these. Maquon was origianlly home to the Potawatomi village located near the Spoon River. Check out one of our latest finds!
