🌟 Welcome Wednesday – Meet Mia! 🌟
This week's Welcome Wednesday spotlight shines on Mia, one of our talented Licensed Veterinary Technicians here at Mountainside Animal Hospital! 💚
Mia has been working in veterinary medicine since August 2021 and brings a passion for gold-standard patient care to everything she does. She loves that every decision at Mountainside is made with our patients' best interests in mind, and we're so happy she's part of our team.
🐾 Favorite animal: Dogs
🐶 Favorite patient story: Mia's favorite cases are high risk anesthesia patients. She finds it incredibly rewarding to care for pets through surgery and watch them safely recover, knowing the trust owners place in the veterinary team. There's nothing better than seeing those happy reunions after a successful procedure.
🌏 Fun fact: In 2023, Mia spent two and a half weeks volunteering in Cambodia, working with multiple veterinary hospitals and the rescue organization Animals of Our World, an experience she'll never forget.
🐾 Pet: Floki ("Mr. Bombastic Side Eye") a 4½-year-old Husky mix who became obsessed with marshmallows after accidentally eating one. Now, every time he hears the marshmallow bag open, he's instantly at your side!
🌿 Hobbies & Interests: Renaissance Faires, creating vet wrap bandage art, reading, puzzling, building LEGO sets, and playing Disney Dreamlight Valley.
🍣 Can't live without: Sushi! She happily enjoys it one or two times every week.
👠 Favorite character: Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz
🐉 Dream pet: A dragon, because they're loyal, protective, and who wouldn't want to fly?
