Ragu, Patch, Lake, and Jett took a trip to Cabelas today!

This group ranges from 5 months to 6 years in age and I bet you wouldn’t believe we’ve got a dog in the group here working on their aggression and reactivity to other dogs and people!

Welcome to Akela K9 Services, here’s a bit about us

We’re a fully licensed boarding facility, having earned the highest possible marks on every department of agriculture inspection.

Our facility sits on 18 acres including multiple fenced yards, each over an acre in size.

Our indoor facility is heated, cooled, insulated, and monitored by CO2 alarms, fire alarms, and cameras all linked directly to local authorities in case of emergency.

Our kennel space is connected to staff apartments meaning there’s always someone on hand. Dogs stay in 4’x4’ kennel runs instead of cramped crates and are also monitored 24/7 by fire and CO2 alarms as well as cameras.

We’re constantly updating and innovating our facilities so we can keep giving you the same small business, one on one, at home boarding feel while keeping up with modern standards and comforts.

With decades of combined experience there’s no dog we haven’t seen a version of, and no situation we’re not prepared to handle.

At Akela K9 Services, our team brings real experience to every case that walks through our doors - extreme reactivity, aggression, anxiety, advanced obedience, you name it.

We don’t guess. We assess, we build a plan, and we get results.

Whatever you and your dog are facing, it’s likely we’ve handled it before - and we know how to get you both to the other side of it.

Meet Natalie — The newest member of the Akela K9 Services Team! 🐾

Natalie graduated with honors from Kennelwood Academy, and stuck around afterward as an intern to keep sharpening her craft before joining us here.

Obedience is where Natalie really shines — she has a gift for building focus and reliability in dogs, and clients notice the difference fast. We’re beyond excited to have her talent and energy on the team.

Us when we see our clients who own high drive dogs playing with them cooperatively and giving them an outlet for their drive instead of wanting to suppress the dog they chose 😊
