In practicing for the full moon yoga nidra with a different group of horses in the round pen so Sunday's experience can be outside under the rising full moon, Lucy decided to show off her circus pony act unprompted! Needless to say, when I looked up and saw Lucy standing with one hoof on the back of the chair with her other leg up like she was "begging" for a treat... I burst out laughing 🤣

My horse Dallas and I participated in a clinic recently. At one point we were asked to trot and canter... and the only words to describe how that went was wonky. At the trot he tried to canter, and at the canter it was just wonky, especially going to the right. Something weird was happening with his left hip.

After the clinic wrapped up and I had some down time, I connected with Dallas to do an emotion code session with him and his left hip. During this session the memory popped up of a minor pasture collision between Dallas & another horse that had occured several months earlier. It would have been his left chest and side that contact was made by the other horse. I had nearly forgotten all about the incident. But through my empathic abilities I could feel the soreness all through Dallas's left side, from his poll to his hip. It suddenly made sense why he was so wonky at the trot & canter in the clinic.

I do offer emotion code sessions for both people and horses.

The last session of Hearth, Hooves, and the Pursuit of Happiness met this past Sunday. We were blessed with a lovely sound bath and thrn transitioned into a chakra balancing meditation with the horses.

It's been a beautiful journey putting this program together and experiencing the growth firsthand of both participants. This program unfolded so magically and felt so aligned! It also built my confidence in leading such a program! Beyond grateful!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Finally was able to put together a potluck & tack cleaning evening this past weekend. It was so much fun! Good food, good company, and some cleaner bridles & saddles!

I think it's important to build and support a community in or around one's barn. It's something that's taken me a long time to figure out over the years. A community that supports each other, grows together, and cheers each other on sets a precedent for the barn's culture. Being able to lean on your community during hard times helps you get through. Having others to share in your successes no matter how small helps to build oneself up. And of course, laughter among comrades is good medicine for the soul.

Walking into the barn should feel like a warm embrace not a slap of cold February winds across one's face!
