For anyone who hoped to start training with us today at 1pm, we've delayed the start date to 7/24. However, we are having a "meet the trainers" open house today!

Please come on out for a visit if that works with your plans! We will go over some quick tips you can practice for the next two weeks. Please bring a copy of your dog"s health (vaccination/ f***l/ flea and tick preventative) records.

We will be starting a new 8-week, 101-level puppy training class starting July 9 at 1:00pm!

We teach people how to motivate their dogs to offer wanted behaviors without the use of scolding, punishment, or force. Build a bond based on trust and teamwork, while improving your dog's socialization, confidence, and cooperation.

We are pleased to announce that we are resuming in-person training and are accepting applications for a small group 8-week puppy class on Sundays at 1:00PM, beginning in mid March at our indoor training facility in Manteno.

Our learning-theory based curriculum teaches people to understand, communicate effectively, and build relationships with companion dogs without the use of force or punishment. Puppies will learn basic skills and social manners.

The cost for the program is $320.00 and includes access to our online school for print and video support materials. Family participation is encouraged.

Future service dog puppies!

During this time of social distancing, we continue to offer dog training services through video conferencing. Two-way video meetings allow us to observe student dogs and handlers during exercises and also to share live training demonstrations streamed in real time from our facility. We also provide support in the form of video and print material.

This approach has proven very effective with our PTSD service dog training school; so much so that we are developing an online school which will continue to be an option for "homeschooling" service (and companion) dogs with live online support when social distancing ends.

Because we are able to observe dogs in their home contexts in real time, we can quickly learn how they are experiencing and responding to local environmental stimuli. This allows us to customize training in very specific ways. Handlers get to learn with lower social stress, focusing first upon their bond with their dogs, their understanding of applied learning theory, and the application of technical skills during fun, at-home training exercises.

I am sad about the pandemic circumstances leading to this new development at our school for dogs (and their humans!), but I'm pleased to be able to offer continuing, effective services which hopefully improve quality of life for pets and their people.

Our rates are: $45.00/ private lesson (30-40 minutes), by appointment.

The fee is $20.00 per dog per class, pay-as-you-go. Please message me if you are coming! (Friends who just want to come watch are always welcome!)
