This may not look like anything exciting, unless you knew the situation. When I first met Franklin, he was unable to keep his composure anytime he saw a dog. He would lunge, bark, growl, snap and try as hard as he could to scare the invading dog away. This behavior was reinforced time and time again and he was stuck in overdrive. My goal, and it was as a hefty one, was to be able to walk another dog across the street from Franklin and have him feel safe and comfortable while under threshold. Today was that day!!! Sophie and I were able to parallel walk on the opposite side of the road with Franklin and his mom. I’m overjoyed at the change we’ve seen in him and can’t wait to see how this family and his life are changed. 🤩

When we start having uncertainty about strange dogs, we put in extra work and make sure those feelings don’t stick around. Rosey did amazing with her session at a small festival where there were several dogs. We work with what we have available 🤗
