This week we are sending HUGE shout outs to our AMAZING Vet Techs!!! These girls put in hard work every single day taking care of our patients and assisting our doctors.

The Angel wings seem fitting as this crew has helped save so many lives. We want to thank them for their dedication, hard work, and being such an integral part of the PAH family.

Meet Katie! One of our new assistants (pictured here with Raikou, staff member, Cassie's pup- and yeah he is just as perfect as he looks).

Hi, I’m Katie! I recently graduated from the University of Miami with my bachelors in Marine biology and Ecology. After a couple gap years and gaining more experience, I plan on going to vet school with hopes of working with marine mammals one day. In the meantime, I am so lucky to be able to learn from the amazing staff at Phillips!

I prefer working with dogs, but I will always have a special place in my heart for cats too.

My favorite dog breed has to be Dachshunds. I have one at home named Sebastian.

My favorite food is anything Mexican or Italian!

My favorite sweet treat is definitely a warm cookie with ice cream :)

HAPPY UPDATE: HER NAME IS PIXIE AND HER OWNER JUST PICKED HER UP.

Meet one of our new assistants, Serenity!
(Pictured here with Lemmy, one of our adorable patients.)

"Hi! My name’s Serenity! I’m 18, and I’ve always loved animals and everything to do with helping them. I recently graduated this past May with my Certified Vet Assistant certification, and I just recently got hired at Phillips as a vet assistant!

Favorite thing about work: Meeting all the new fur babies!

Dogs or cats? I definitely love both, but I prefer working with dogs more.

Favorite dog breed: Definitely German Shepherds! I have one myself, and he’s my baby.

Favorite food: Tater tot casserole

Favorite dessert/sweet treat: Cookie dough ice cream"

We have one more staff member for everyone to meet next week- stay tuned. ;)
