We’ve been quiet…but we’ve been busy.

It’s been a super busy week here on the farm!

Tons of planting going on and even more flower beds going in!

I didn’t realize just how many seeds I actually started until we started planting them.

It’s really coming along though!

Did you plant anything this week? Let us know in the comments!

It takes a long time…

But it’s one of my favorite things to do.

Both relaxing and exciting at the same time!

Seeing the tiny blooms starting to wake up is so encouraging! And knowing I started all of this from seed…it just amazes me!

Have a blessed day Balde Farm friends!

We had a request and it’s time to deliver!

One of our followers requested to watch the pigs eat this cookie house back at Christmas time.

So we saved the cookie house and decided now is the perfect time to give it to them!

To say they liked it is an understatement!

I hope you enjoy your day as much as the horses enjoy their pasture!

Have a blessed day Balde Farm Friends!

Pumpkin patch in the works!

It’s just about 1/2 way prepped for planting!

Here on the farm we use regenerative farming to decrease weeds and improve soil health!

We use a combination of the lasagna and no till methods.

We cut the grass super short, lay cardboard, then mulch and plant in compost.

This method REALLY helps keep things manageable by reducing the amount of weeds and the amount of watering. We love this method and use it everywhere we plant! We especially love the time and energy it saves us!

Have you tried a no till method? How did it work for you?

Seriously though… Give yourselves grace!

I’m SO EXCITED!!!

This is ranunculus. A higher end, early spring, cool loving flower. And to say I’ve struggled with this is an understatement!

I honestly didn’t even expect to see a bloom this year at all. But I learned A LOT and planned to try again next year.

But as I was fertilizing last night I came to these and saw not one, but 2 buds!!! I literally squealed with excitement!

Now, with today’s temp in the 80’s, there’s a chance it will not bloom…they do NOT like heat. But with the cooler temps again tomorrow and the next free days, it just might stand a chance!

I would LOVE to see these bloom this year! So I’m praying it makes it through today!

What’s a plant you’ve had difficult growing? Drop it in the contents and let’s see how many of us struggle with the same ones!

We’re still thinking of a name for her!

Meanwhile, she’s getting socialized!

We’re making sure to give this sweet little girl lots of attention, socialization, scratches and pets! We’ve even started to work on picking up her feet.

Her father was TERRIBLE with his feet when we first got him! He’s much better now though.

We’re starting early with her so she won’t be like her dad when we first got him! 🫣😂
