Good afternoon!

We have wrestled with the notion of what I’m about to write for a few months now. Very few decisions in life are easy, and this one was no exception.

We have decided to step back from Grooming at the salon. We will continue to board on a limited basis. The plan is to reinstate Grooming as of May 2026.

If you have an appointment scheduled with us on the books, we will continue to honor those appointments. At this time, we are not taking new customers.

It is our prayer that when we return in May 2026, we will be in a position to offer you better service than ever! And we thank you warmly for all of the amazing interactions we have had with the puppies you have trusted into our care.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!! 📢

Currently we are working VERY HARD to make your experience with us even BETTER!! We are installing a fence!!

Because we are not paying others to install it, but we are actually designing building and installing it, we are both working overtime to get the job done. Having said that, please extend us grace and forgiveness if there is a little bit of a slow response on our parts for Making appointments. 💕

Also PAWLISHED POOCH WILL BE CLOSED FOR VACATION JULY 31-AUGUST 10. Any calls messages or email requests for appointments during that time will be handled the week after we return. One of the things that makes our business so special is that it is just me and your dog working together. One of the things that makes this business so tough at times is that it’s just me. So I will work very diligently when we return to address everybody’s needs for appointments.

In this season of mud, shedding, pollen, and cut grass staining paws, even the resident dogs here at Pawlished Pooch are not exempt from a good scrubbing!

Sabine got our princess puppy treatment today! I gave her a de-shedding conditioning and deodorizing shampoo, then I used a finishing conditioning shampoo. Spritz with some leave in coat and skin conditioning spray, and then a light deodorizing spray. She got an ear wax removing and conditioning inner ear treatment, and had her nails clipped and ground. We finished off with a full blow dry and fluff out, and then applied some coat lotion and rubbed in well for a finishing touch.

I wanted to tell my client she didn’t need to bother coming back again! Her dogs relentlessly beat me up and put me through my paces. When I was done grooming four out of five dogs, I was exhausted and my back hurt!

Unfortunately I cannot fire her as a client. That would be a little awkward….

Because she is me. Here are the little rascals if you’re wondering what a bunch of merciless anti-bathing, Bath Battling crazies looks like!

I know, I know. They look like angels. Looks are deceiving!
