Precious Paws Community Cats Precious Paws is a volunteer-driven animal welfare organization based in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Precious Paws Community Cats works to improve the lives of community cats through trap-neuter-return (TNR), rescue, medical care, rehabilitation, and responsible adoption. Our mission is to improve the lives of vulnerable cats through community-based rescue efforts, medical rehabilitation, and placement into loving homes. While our organization focuses heavily on Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) to humanely reduce outdoor cat populations, we also rescue injured, abandoned, and socialized cats encountered during colony management. These cats receive veterinary care, recovery time in our facility or foster homes, and adoption placement through our rescue program. We are committed to compassionate care, responsible adoption practices, and improving the overall welfare of cats in our community.

It’s been a rough week, but we still managed to get 8 community cats to the clinic for spay/neuter surgery and vaccines! ❤️

We had to push some cats off this clinic, but we got lucky when we tested Andrea’s Subaru and realized we could fit 8 traps inside! With Samantha dealing with a back injury, Andrea stepped up and handled everything from start to finish, making sure the cats got where they needed to be.

We worked with property owners to secure the cats while Andrea trapped a few of the last remaining cats from a colony of about 50. This is the same colony where we pulled almost two dozen kittens. There’s still work to be done, but every cat we can get fixed makes a difference!

Here’s how YOU can help! 🐾

Not everyone can trap cats, and we understand that. But there are so many other ways to help make this work possible.

❤️ If you can’t trap, maybe you can transport.
❤️ If you can’t transport, maybe you can help with other tasks.
❤️ If you’re unable to volunteer, maybe you can donate toward their care and medical needs.
❤️ And if you can’t do any of those things, sharing our posts and spreading awareness about community cats helps more than you may realize!

Every little bit of help adds up, and no one person can do it all.

A huge THANK YOU to Andrea for stepping up this week and making sure we could help at least some of these cats despite the challenges and working another full time job. We appreciate you! ❤️

For community members looking to get started with TNR: You can schedule appointments through local TNR clinics, but planning ahead is important. Have a trapping plan in place for the day before surgery and begin trap training at least a week beforehand. Walk-in clinics may also be an option, as long as they aren’t closed on the day you plan to go. York SPCA and Brandyw**e in Malvern offer walk-in options, so be sure to check their websites for scheduled closures and current requirements before heading out.

We also want to be honest about something. We hope to continue increasing the number of community cats we can help, but we need support from other rescues and fosters who may be able to take kittens into their programs. We simply cannot house every kitten we come across. Without additional placement options, some kittens will unfortunately have to be returned to the properties where they were found.

That’s why teamwork matters so much. We can only do what our space, resources, and volunteers allow, and we’re always hoping to connect with others who can help us do more.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Precious Paws Community Cats, whether you volunteer, donate, foster, transport, or simply share our posts. We see you, we appreciate you, and we couldn’t keep doing this without you. ❤️🐾

We could use a few helping hands this evening! ❤️

We’re looking for anyone available between 4–6 PM this evening to help us sell Boscov’s passes at the Park City store today!

We’re also looking for volunteers to help us on October 21st, the day of the event!

Even an hour of your time makes a difference and helps us raise funds for the kitties in our care. 🐱❤️

If you’re available to help with either, please let us know! We’d be so grateful for your support! 🙏🏻

Yesterday was quite a celebration in Mount Gretna, and we are so grateful for the love and support of our community.

Congratulations to all the people who won at Bingo and took home one of our special game prizes and raffle prizes.
Congrats also to the 50/50 Winner. $700 was raised which was split between Precious Paws and one of our guests.

Shout out to all our volunteers who helped us execute this event. Food For Thought Catering, your lunch was amazing!
And we have the best bakers in Lancaster! There was everything from an award-winning apple pie to cupcakes with litter and kitty p**p on them🤣. And we can’t forget the special desserts for our toast. Thank you, Heather for the litter pan desserts and Helga for the beautiful cake of the cat barn.

We are excited to announce that this event raised just shy of $6500.
That money is going to fix a lot of kitty cats as well as get them the medical attention that they need.

The ch*****ne toast, video and ribbon-cutting ceremony were very heartwarming. And what a blessing to have our community come together to celebrate our precious cats and the village that takes care of them.
We are beyond grateful for this Cat Barn that you helped us build!!!

CHEERS to YOU!! 🥂
We will try to add more pictures as they come in.

Thank you,
Much love from the PPCC Team! =^..^=
