“Personal space” can’t always be the expectation during appointments.

Sometimes you need a thorough physical exam.

Sometimes you need a stethoscope.

And sometimes you apparently need to be held or convince the entire team that you are, in fact, the cutest patient we’ve seen all day.

We don’t make the rules. But we don’t mind living by them either!

Dr. Whitney Sloan is one of the longest tenured members of the TimberCreek Family!

Dr. Sloan started with TimberCreek Veterinary Hospital as a veterinary assistant and her love for the TimberCreek family kept her here with us through vet school and ultimately as a doctor on our team at our original location!

Dr. Sloan grew up in Lebo, KS and is local to Manhattan with her husband and son. She loves a German Shorthair Pointer. In fact - you can bet that your new GSP puppy will magically appear on her schedule. To this day no one knows what happens...

When she's not pouring into the team and those around her, you'll catch her cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs or traveling back to her hometown to be with family.

As one of the most competitive members of our team, you can also usually find her trying to make a competition out of something. She's the brains behind the annual TimberCreek Chili Cookoff and TimberCreek Derby Day Celebration!

Dr. Sloan is now taking appointments at both of our locations and would love to meet you!

Meet Dr. Paige Andersen!

Dr. Andersen is our Managing Partner Veterinarian!

Dr. A stayed in Manhattan after graduating from K-State's Vet School in 2016 when she opened our anchor location of operation, TimberCreek Veterinary Hospital. She has built a home here with her husband and two daughters and enjoys the opportunities she gets to ride her horses, spend time with family, or nestle in for a good book.

Dr. Andersen currently serves on the Board of the American Animal Hospital Association and her impact from The Little Apple is not only local, but nation wide.

There's never a day when Dr. Andersen is not smiling and giving her team and the patients she sees her all! Make sure to say hi the next time you're in!

This little patient had a different opinion about X-rays... 😹

The v-shaped pad this kitty is relaxing in is called an X-ray positioning trough. It helps safely and comfortably position pets so we can capture the best possible images while minimizing the need to repeat X-rays.

Every pet experiences the veterinary hospital a little differently, and our goal is always to make their visit as low-stress and comfortable as possible—even during X-rays.

Most pets tolerate the process just fine, but we were pleasantly surprised when this little kitty was so relaxed during positioning. It's not something we see every day!

Needless to say, this patient earned plenty of smiles (and maybe a few extra snuggles) from our team. 💙

A team that plays together, stays together! 🏐💙

This spring, our TimberCreek crew traded their scrubs for sneakers and took to the volleyball court! From serving up great patient care during the day to serving up aces after work, this team knows how to have fun together. There were many laughs shared and several glimpses into the underlying competitiveness we all knew was there. It was a season to remember!🐾

This month we're celebrating Dr. Sloan's TimberCreek-Aversary! She has been with us as a veterinarian for 4 years, but her commitment to TimberCreek started 10 YEARS ago as our very first hire. Dr. Sloan was an undergrad student at the time and brought the lighthearted energy and passion we needed to get our business off the ground! Happy 4th of July weekend to all of our clients and patients!

We are closed to business operations Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th.

If you have an emergency please contact the Kansas State Veterinary Health Center at 785-532-5690.

All animals boarding will be tended to and are in good hands until pick up at the earliest Monday.
