Hi, I’m Laura. 👋

I’m a business owner, a dog owner, and a busy mom - and this time of year, busy feels like an understatement.

Tonight I looked at the kitchen that needed cleaned, the things that still needed done, the kiddo who needed Mom…and decided I needed to sit down for a minute first.

Who gave everything so that we could spend this long weekend with our families, in our backyards, with our dogs at our feet.

We get to do what we do because of them. We get to build businesses, raise kids, fire up the grill, and live freely in this country because of the ones who paid for it with their lives.

Dear Mom,

Happy Mother's Day to the best human in the whole world. That's you. I picked you and I would pick you again.

Thank you for the food. Even the green stuff. I see it. I eat it anyway because I love you.
Thank you for the belly rubs. Thank you for the treats. Thank you for talking to me in that funny high voice in front of other people. It's kind of embarrassing but I secretly love it.

I'm sorry about the couch. And the rug. And your shoe. And the other shoe. And that thing I ate that we said we would never talk about again.

I know I can be a lot. I bark at nothing. I lose my mind when the doorbell rings on TV. I roll in stuff that smells amazing to me and terrible to you. And you still kiss me on the face. After you've seen the things I lick! That is real love, Mom.

I also want to say thank you for picking up my p**p. Every single day. In the rain. In the snow. In the dark with a flashlight. You are my hero. A kind of grossed out hero, but still a hero.

P.S. I heard there's a company that does that part for you now. Just saying. Maybe a Mother's Day gift to yourself? 👀
