Mayday! We are at a breaking point. 🚨

🐕Our shelter has reached a level we’ve never wanted to see! Kennels are full, temporary housing is full, and dogs are now occupying pop-up kennels simply because there is nowhere else for them to go.

We need dogs leaving the shelter.

To help create desperately needed space, we are WAIVING adoption fees on ALL DOGS for Thursday, June 11, Friday, June 12 AND Saturday, June 13.

This isn’t just a promotion. It’s an emergency effort to help relieve the overcrowding and give these dogs a chance to get out of the shelter and into homes.

Vinny had a blast making new friends today! This happy boy is available for ADOPTION through St Tammany Parish Animal Services. He would make a great companion for any family!

Doug is finishing up his 1st week of Day Training. He's eager to learn, and ready for his next week of training!

Everyone meet Vinny! Vinny is a foster from the and he is here at MCA for training so he can learn to be the best dog he can be. Vinny will learn sit/stay, down/stay, leave it, place, off, leash walking, and recall as well as other basic manners and proper social skills.

So far we would say Vinny is a gentle boy, who loves to chase the ball and snuggle. He is just happy to be here!

Vinny is a 1.6 year old mix. He is 70 pounds, neutered, and up to date on vaccines.

MCA is offering 40% off any training program to dogs adopted the day of the event.

If you are not able to adopt, please share or consider fostering!

We would love to see our MCA students out at the event. Every Sunday at Chafunkta is Pups and Pints. Get you 2nd beer free if you bring your pup!
