These two babies received some very special Maroon Raccoon presents and my heart is full! The fact that they are both Blue Healers from opposite ends of America 🇺🇸 makes me so happy 🥹. They are sporting our very beloved bandanas and also featured is one of our Squeaky Sasquatch 🫈. We love to see it, and we love Blue Healers 💕

I just want to take a moment to say thank you. ❤️
The love and support you all have shown us during Doodle Bear’s passing has meant more to me than I can put into words.
To everyone who reached out, sent messages, shared your own stories, checked on us, sent cards, or simply kept us in your thoughts, thank you. Every single one meant something to us.
Some of you never even had the chance to meet Doodle, but you still cared about him because you’ve become part of our little Maroon Raccoon family. That means more than you know.
Doodle was so deeply loved, and knowing that his little life touched people beyond our home makes saying goodbye just a tiny bit easier.
Thank you for being here with us through one of the hardest goodbyes we’ve ever had. I’m incredibly grateful for every kind word, every card, every message, and every bit of love you’ve sent our way.
From our family to yours, thank you. 🐾❤️

🎃 Halloween Donations Needed 🎃

We are gearing up for our first TRUNK OR TREAT Event next month and we would love to make it extra spooky. We are looking for anyone with some old Halloween decorations or decor that could be repurposed into Halloween themed items.

If you’re very artsy, we would love to have some signs made. This is a great way to get the kids involved in helping the shelter through arts and crafts! If you’re a local teacher, we would love to hang up the kids hand bats or help make black and orange paper chains to hang up.

If you’re interested please shoot us a message and we can provide some ideas! If you have decorations, we can schedule a time for pickup or drop off

💔 A little personal news from the Maroon Raccoon family…

Today we had to say goodbye to my sweet Doodle Bear.

He was 18 years old and had been a part of my life for so, so long. Today we made the incredibly hard decision to let him go peacefully, and while I know it was the kindest thing we could do for him, my heart is absolutely shattered.

Some of you have met Doodle, heard me talk about him, or watched me care for him over the years. He was a tiny little dog with a HUGE place in my heart. 🐾❤️

I’m sharing this here because Maroon Raccoon has become more than just a little pet boutique to me. It’s become a little community of people who understand that our animals aren’t “just pets.” They are family.

So today, I’m just asking for a little kindness and patience while I grieve my boy.

Give your babies an extra hug tonight. Tell them you love them. Spoil them a little. They deserve every bit of it. ❤️🐾

Run free, Doodle Bear. You were loved every single day of your 18 years. 🌈
