Dancing with Raven for our virtual freestyle we submitted for the Mustang Heritage Foundation Mustang & Burro Finals. We will find out in a couple of weeks if we actually made the finals ✨

I was already planning on showing her in the finals (she’s already qualified for her other classes), and then I saw the freestyle submissions were open and they had extended the deadline to September 1st. That meant we had more time to throw something together and I knew that bringing back Jimin’s freestyle from 2024 was something fun and obtainable. The only catch was I really wanted to include something that would be actual dancing.

So we started playing around with a new trick - the piaffe! Raven’s only been working on it for the past month so it’s far from perfect but I’m super proud of how far she came with it. Our freestyle run through was the first time she was ever asked to do it in a choreographed routine.

Anyone recognize this familiar face? 🤩🤩🤩

Miss Willahbee Jones (formally Hope) was my 2025 Mustang Magic partner. She is absolutely THRIVING in her new home and I love getting all the updates on her. From trail riding to drill team, showing and even lessons, this special mare really does it all!

This past weekend her and her rider Kaitlyn were the champions of the western division as well as overall top western horse/rider combo at the Wisconsin Mustang Show. I’m so proud of them! It is so great seeing the amazing team they have become and will only continue to grow.

I knew this mare was special when I was training her for the competition, but she has truly surpassed all those expectations I ever had for her and really is worth her weight in gold. I’m excited for her future with her owners and can’t wait to see everything she’ll accomplish with her future kid rider🤩🤩

I’m bringing back one of my favorite freestyles that I’ve done but with some added ✨flares✨

This time around I have my main stang’ Raven as my partner. She really upped the degree of difficulty on some of our elements, added new things, and is even debuting a brand new trick! It’s not quite perfected yet, but I’m thrilled with how it turned out as it’s only been in the works for a month.

Just for fun I’ve decided to that whoever comments the original freestyle correctly will be put in a drawing for a half liter bottle of EspanaSilk Grooming Products of their choice that I will randomly select when I post this freestyle next week!

And for added fun - the first person to guess her new trick correctly will win a bag of Zero Proof Horse Treats!

When I first taught Pl***oy to lay down as a trick he was less than a month gentled and it was the easiest session I’ve ever done. Needless to say, he loves laying down and would stay for as long as allowed 💤
