We’ve just hit 6 months since our Grand Opening party, and it’s got us feeling emotional 🥲

Since then, our team, animal family, and community have grown. Our showroom has been fully built out. We’ve visited schools, block parties, retirement communities, and introduced them all to our critters. We’ve hosted countless birthday parties and private tours, as well as launching our homeschool education programs. We even hosted a wedding! Our retail inventory has been expanded—did you know we have dozens of tarantula species for sale, as well as crested geckos, millipedes, and more? We’ve been so lucky to experience this evolution, and so many other milestones.

We ❤️ STL, and everyone who has come to visit far from home. Now let’s see what the next 6 months bring 👏

Most people hear “reticulated python” and picture a giant snake… but some of the smallest retics in the world come from tiny islands in Indonesia.

Super dwarfs evolved differently because of island isolation, limited resources, and generations of adaptation. Some localities stay dramatically smaller than mainland retics while still keeping the intelligence, food drive, and personality the species is known for.

What’s really wild is how different one island population can look from another. Different colors, patterns, body structure, even behavior.

Slides like this are exactly why we love teaching people about reptiles. There’s so much more going on behind these animals than most people realize.
