🐾☀️ Klaus’ Summer Survival Guide ☀️🐾

When you’re built like a German Shepherd but your budget only allows for a kiddie pool… 😂

Klaus has officially determined that if at least 51% of his body is in the water, it counts as being fully submerged. Science has not yet confirmed his findings.

Meanwhile, he’s sitting here looking at me like, “Dad, I’m gonna need a bigger pool.” 🐕💦

These three adorable kittens are officially 8 weeks old and are now ready to start accepting applications for their forever homes! 💕

Lulu, Dante, and Brit have been growing stronger every day and will be spayed/neutered within the next few weeks while they continue their journey toward finding loving families of their own.

Each one has their own little personality, endless kitten energy, and all the cuddles you could ask for. 🐱✨

Today, we remember the heroes who gave everything for this country — the brave men, women, and K9 partners who served with honor, courage, and sacrifice. 🇺🇸🐾

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a moment to pause and reflect on the lives lost protecting the freedoms we often take for granted. We also honor the loyal military and working canines who stood beside our service members, fearless and faithful until the very end.

To all who made the ultimate sacrifice:
Your service will never be forgotten.
Your legacy will always live on.

🖤💚 Welcome Batman, Robin, Harley, and Ivy to the GSARC family! 💚🖤

These adorable little Chihuahua / Jack Russell mix puppies are estimated to be around 6 weeks old and have officially entered our care. While they may be tiny, they have already stolen all of our hearts. 🐾

Over the coming weeks, these pups will receive full medical care including:
✔️ Vaccinations
✔️ Spay/Neuter
✔️ Microchips
✔️ Deworming
✔️ Veterinary evaluations
✔️ And everything else needed to ensure they receive a clean bill of health before finding their forever homes.

Kitten season is here… and it’s hitting us hard.

Every day, we’re taking in tiny, vulnerable kittens, many without mothers, too young to survive on their own, and in desperate need of round-the-clock care. Right now, we are at critical capacity and urgently need kitten fosters to step up.

Fostering saves lives.
These kittens don’t need a shelter, they need a warm home, a soft place to rest, and someone willing to give them the care and love they deserve until they’re ready for adoption.

We provide supplies, guidance, and support, you provide the safe space.

It’s never easy to share stories like this… but these three little lives deserve to be heard. 💔

A few nights ago, a brave mama cat did everything she could to protect her babies. She fought with everything she had… but tragically, she was attacked and killed by three raccoons while defending her kittens.

Now, her three tiny babies, only about 2½ weeks old, are left behind. Alone, confused, and far too young to be without their mom.

Despite everything, they are fighting. They’re eating, they’re cuddling together for comfort, and they’re slowly learning that they’re safe. Their mom gave everything to give them a chance… and we are determined to honor that.

But they need us… and they need you.

At this age, they require round-the-clock care, bottle feeding, warmth, medical support, and constant monitoring. It’s a lot, but they are worth every second.

If you can, please consider making a donation to help us give these babies the life their mother fought so hard for. Every dollar goes directly toward their care and the many others who rely on us.

Let’s turn this heartbreaking loss into something hopeful.

Warm weather is here… and you know what that means!! 🐾

Our TNVR program is running at full capacity right now, and we’re doing everything we can to keep up—but we need your help.

We are extremely low on linens, and our most urgent needs are:
🛁 Bath towels & sheets (to safely cover traps)
🐾 Hand towels (for inside carriers for kittens)

These simple items make a huge difference in keeping animals safe, calm, and comfortable during trapping and transport.

If you have any extras you’d like to donate, please send us a DM and we’ll arrange a pickup.

BeeBee is a beautiful 7–8 year old sweetheart who is ready to find the loving forever home she truly deserves 💛

She came into our care just before the big snowstorms, searching for nothing more than a warm place to rest. Originally part of a community cat colony, it didn’t take long for us to realize—BeeBee is anything but feral. She is incredibly friendly, affectionate, and clearly once knew the comfort of a home.

When she went in to be spayed, we discovered she was already fixed. Combined with her gentle nature, we believe BeeBee was once someone’s pet who was sadly left to fend for herself.

❄️ Winter Storm Advisory for Dog Owners ❄️

With a major winter storm approaching, including heavy snow, strong winds, and dangerous conditions, we want to remind everyone that while our dogs love the snow, extended time outside can be risky.

🐾 Snow can hide ice, sharp debris, and salt that irritates paws
🐾 Wind chills can lead to frostbite on ears, paws, and tails
🐾 Smaller, short-haired, senior, and young dogs are especially vulnerable
🐾 Deep snow can quickly exhaust even high-energy pups

As fun as zoomies in the snow are, keep outdoor time short and supervised. Quick potty breaks and brief play sessions are best, then it’s back inside for warm cuddles, enrichment toys, and cozy playtime. 🐶❤️

Let’s keep our four-legged family members safe and warm during this storm.
