‼️ We are in need of fosters ASAP ‼️

When we traveled to Georgia last month to save 14 dogs, we knew there were two things we'd need when we got home:

1. Funds to support their care
2. Foster homes to welcome them to safety

Today, those dogs are ready to come to Maine.
But we don't have enough places for them to go...

Every day they remain in boarding, fees add up.
It puts a strain on our resources and limits our ability to save the next dog.

The truth is simple: without fosters, we cannot save more lives 💔

If you've ever thought about fostering, please take this is as your sign.

Fostering is completely free.
We provide supplies.
Cover veterinary care.
Offer 24/7 support.
And can even arrange temporary foster coverage if you have travel plans.

All we need is a safe place for a dog to land while they wait for their forever family.

Please consider opening your home. One "yes" can change a life.
Apply to foster today ❤️ They're counting on you.

Figured it was time to formally introduce myself:

Hi! I'm Holly :)

I am a recent transplant to the Midcoast area from Indiana. I moved to Appleton at the end of 2024.

Before I came here, I owned and operated a dog daycare, boarding, and grooming facility in West Lafayette, IN - the home of Purdue University and their Veterinary School - for 15 years.

My partner and I recently sold our business to move out here for a slower life in a beautiful place. Both of us originally wanted to be veterinarians, and we adore animals of all shapes and sizes 💜

We have three dogs (Gryff, Beowulf, Grendel), three cats (Buffy, Oz, Bitty), two pigs (Socks, Neo), four goats (Frank, Tahlia, Melipone, Hera), and six chickens (Sharon, Armand, Romulus, Remus, Charlie, Madonna).

I taught myself to groom in 2020, and have been doing it ever since. I currently work at a veterinary hospital in Rockport and do grooming and pet sitting on the side. I'm Fear Free certified, as well as an AKC S.A.F.E. Groomer, and I focus on making grooming a positive experience for everyone ✂️🐾

Doodles and large dogs are my favorite pups to groom, and was primarily what I did both the last couple years in Indiana and currently with the trailer I have now.

I offer both mobile or "in salon" appointments at my house. Please send me a message if you'd like to know more or get something scheduled!

Miss Daisy had a spa day today 🐾✂️

Grooming isn't her favorite thing, but she was very brave!
