🍯 Honey Fund Recipient: Lucky 🐾
Lucky came to us limping with a fever, a wound, and decreased appetite. He needed medical attention right away!
Because of the extent of the wound, surgery was necessary to properly repair it, and Lucky was scheduled for surgery the following day. As an outdoor cat, being confined at home during recovery was going to be a challenge, so Lucky spent a few days with us while he got a jump start on healing.
Lucky’s situation was especially difficult because, due to financial constraints, euthanasia was being considered. Thankfully, the Honey Fund was able to help cover a portion of his treatment and give Lucky the chance he needed. 🍯
During surgery, a drain was placed to help his wound heal properly. After a few days of healing and lots of TLC from Lucky's owners and our team, the drain was removed and Lucky continued to improve!
And today? Lucky is completely healed! 🎉 He’s out of his cone, back outside doing what outdoor cats do, and back to being his happy self. 🐈
