Go follow Delilah’s Journey!

🐾 MEET DELILAH! 💜 🐾

Everyone say hi to Delilah, one of our newest students at D4 Canine Academy! 🎓🐶

Delilah is the sweetest, happiest girl with a LOT of excitement for life—and sometimes that excitement gets the best of her. 😬 Over the next several weeks, we’ll be helping her turn all that enthusiasm into better everyday manners.

Delilah’s personalized training will focus on:

* 🐾 Loose-leash walking — less pulling and more enjoyable walks
* 💜 “Paws Down” — learning that four paws on the floor gets her the attention she wants
* 👋 Polite greetings — saying hello without jumping all over her favorite people
* 🧠 Impulse control — learning to slow down, think, and make better choices when she’s excited
* 🏡 Everyday manners — building skills she can actually use at home and out in the real world
* 📣 Recall — strengthening her ability to come when called, even when something else looks more exciting
* ✨ Calmness & confidence — learning that she doesn’t have to be at 100 MPH to be part of the fun

The goal isn’t to change Delilah’s big, happy personality. We’re teaching her what TO do with all that excitement so she can enjoy more freedom and be included in more of her family’s everyday life. 💜

Today was Delilah’s First Day of School, and we can’t wait to show you her progress! 🎒🐾

💜 MORGYN’S TRAINING UPDATE 💜

Today was one of those sessions that reminds me why personalized training matters.

Morgan has a pretty significant threshold issue, so we’re working through new surfaces, spaces and situations one little win at a time. 🐾

Today’s big goal was PLACE.

Our original plan was to use the raised training cot… but Morgan took one look at it and said, absolutely not. 😂 Instead of forcing the issue, we adjusted. We started with a bed flat on the floor, built her confidence, and worked through it together.

And she GOT IT. 👏💜

Morgan is learning that “Place” means: go to your designated spot, settle there, and stay until I release you. It isn’t just about laying on a bed—it’s teaching calmness, boundaries, impulse control and how to switch that busy brain OFF when we ask her to.

Once she had place down, we moved outside and finished our session working on loose-leash foundations, including a few of our walking drills and sitting for access instead of pulling or rushing toward what she wants.

The biggest thing with Morgan? We aren’t racing her. We’re building confidence while still giving her structure. The cot will come. The thresholds will get easier. And every little success we stack today makes the next one easier. 💜

🎒🐾 FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! 🐾🎒

Morgyn officially had her first day with D4 Canine Academy! 💜

After her consultation, we were able to build a training plan specifically around her—because no two dogs (or families!) need exactly the same thing.

We’re starting with leash skills and communication, but we’ll also be working on confidence, everyday manners, and helping her feel comfortable getting into the back of the SUV independently. 🐕‍🦺

This is exactly why I’m loving the direction D4 is going: personalized training instead of trying to fit every dog into the same program.

Today was all about learning Morgyn, building trust, and laying the foundation. She may not have brought an apple for the teacher, but she definitely brought plenty of personality! 🍎🐾

Now class is officially in session. 💜🐾
