This Beagle/Dachshund/Lab mix turned 18 on September 1st. That's a whole lot of walks, sniffs, and belly rubs.
Grey muzzle, slower strolls, and the biggest heart. For seniors like Cleo, a great visit means going at their pace, extra time for sniffs, and good company during a long day.

Happy National Black Dog Day! 🖤
This day was started in 2014 by pet advocate Colleen Paige, in honor of her rescued black dog, Sailor. Its goal: raise awareness that black dogs are often overlooked in shelters and adopted less often — thanks to old superstitions, and sometimes just because they're harder to see (and photograph) in a crowded kennel.
We think that's wild, because some of the goofiest, most loyal, most velcro pups on our schedule are black dogs. 🐾
