We all want the best for our pets. That’s why familiarizing oneself with pet first aid basics is crucial in keeping our furry friends safe.

Join the UW Veterinary Care Client Learning and Lending Center on Sunday, August 30, from 10am-12pm, to learn how to provide basic first aid to your pet. Participants will not only learn how to assess and treat various medical pet emergencies, but will also build a first aid kit to take home with them.

With two serious congenital heart abnormalities — patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) and pulmonary valve stenosis (PS) — puppy Chelsea’s heart was working overtime to keep her alive and she faced an uncertain future.

UW Veterinary Care developed a sophisticated treatment plan to address both Chelsea’s PDA and PS. Chelsea now plays like a normal puppy with a bright future ahead.
