Meet Zoey!
A few weeks ago, Zoey successfully completed our Osteoarthritis (OA) Study, and we're so grateful to her and her family for helping advance feline medicine!
Did you know that even small behavior changes can be signs of osteoarthritis pain in cats? Changes such as sleeping more, jumping less, avoiding stairs, decreased grooming, or becoming less active are often dismissed as "just getting older," but they may actually be signs of discomfort.
Zoey participated in a double-blinded clinical study evaluating the effectiveness of an injectable medication designed to help ease osteoarthritis discomfort in cats. Through multiple visits over approximately 8 months, cats in the study help researchers learn more about potential treatment options that may improve quality of life for cats living with arthritis.
We are currently enrolling cats who may qualify!
Adult cats with perceived discomfort due to arthritis may be eligible. Schedule a FREE screening visit that includes full radiographs and labwork.
Some medications may affect eligibility, though washout periods may be possible depending on the medication and your cat's individual needs. Participating cats must also be comfortable with handling and laboratory testing.
Spot the change. Even small behavior changes can signal OA pain.
