Our group had a wonderful time yesterday at our first horse show of the spring season, it was great to back out there again.
Thank you to Veterinary Rehabilitation Services of Virginia for hosting such a fun show. We had perfect weather and it was so nice to see everyone. We also appreciate all those who came out to support us!

On AHF had a group outing to Walmart to purchase essentials for 5 local children for the holiday season. Thank you to our fearless leader Robin Sweely for sharing the opportunity to help our community and for the delicious dinner afterward!

Last week we took a group of horses to Tryon for the Duke Benefit Horse show. We had a wonderful time at an amazing venue. It was a great way to end the 2025 show season.

🌟Allison and Gude Affair had wonderful rounds in the Amateur 1.20M finishing with a 4th in a very competitive Classic
🌟Sasha and Sir Frost won their Thoroughbred class and then placed 2nd and 6th out of 22 ending up 5th overall in the Amateur 1.0M division.
🌟Olivia and Celestial Star participated in the USHJA Team Low Hunter Challenge bringing home a well earned 5th out of 8 teams in a very tough challenge. Additionally she earned a 5th over fences out of 33 horses in the Low Adult Hunters.
🌟Joanna and Amish Limousine had two clear rounds in the .65m bringing home two blues, and earned the title of the announcers favorite horse name!!
🌟Allison and Threat Level Midnight competed in the .80m with a confident round.
🌟Allison and Cooley Skyline finished the group with three beautiful clear rounds in the Amateur 1.10M Jumpers bringing home the Champion overall

Our group headed to the WIHS Regional Horse show this past Sunday and did not dissappoint!! All our jumper riders had clear rounds in their Championship Classic rounds and our hunter rider earning high marks in tough classes. We'd like to congratulate our following riders!

🌟Allison and Gude Affiar completed in the USHJA Zone 3 Championships for the 1.10M Amateur Jumpers, earning a 2nd in the Welcome, winning the Classic round and overall Grand Champion!!
🌟Sasha and Sir Frost also completed in the USHHA Zone 3 Championships for the 1.10M Amateur Jumper, had a rough start in their welcome, but had a strong comeback bringing a 4th in the Classic
🌟Carly and Oh So Sassy GSF completed in the USHJA Zone 3 Championships for the 1.0M Amateur Jumpers, earning a 5th in the Welcome and a 4th in the Classic
🌟Olivia and Celestial Star competed in the Intermediate 2'6 Eq with a 5th over fences and an 8th in the hack in a large group of riders.

We are now accepting applications for a Part Time Groom position!

Join our fun team and have the opportunity to learn from an accomplished former Nations Cup rider at a top Hunter/Jumper show barn!

Part Time: Flexible schedule, 2-4 days a week 7am-5pm or half days 7am-12pm or 12-5pm. Some weekends.

Job duties include: bringing in and turning out, grooming and tacking up, clipping, bandaging, blanketing, administering medication, giving grain/hay, cleaning stalls and other general barn chores, some lifting required. Must be comfortable handling well-mannered retired stallions.

Must have reliable transportation. Must be legal to work in the US.
