“My mom is making me work two sessions today. Doesn’t she know I’m just a baby!” we are taking a break on the Guilford Green in between sessions. I’ve decided to completely retire Timber from working private sessions with me. He just wants to relax and not work so hard. So this means I’ve gotta start prepping my four month old puppy to eventually take over that role. The two sessions today he’s just hanging out as a visual distraction, but that’s still a lot of work for him and I’m incredibly proud of him and his temperament.

Chipotle is almost 18 weeks old. I don’t walk him daily. But every time he’s on leash we work on leash skills and connection. It’s not always perfect. Sometimes he alligator snaps to get a treat. Sometimes he’s so distracted by birds. But we just reset and try again.

Chip had his first official day as my helper dog. He’s joined play school of course but today he helped me with a private session. He did really well, whined a little bit when I had someone else handle him and I handled their dog but otherwise I was so proud! we were able to get him something from Petco and go to the beach as his reward 😊

At about 4 months old, I’ve already worked quite a bit with him in public. I do not wait until full vaccinated but I do it as safely as possible, and it showed today. He rode in his bike trailer for 10 miles beautifully (even slept some of it), met a ton of people and didn’t jump (only one minor puppy nibble) greeted calmly. Took a nap in his trailer during all the noise and commotion around him. He was quite the popular boy and really showed his good nature off and I’m so proud of him!

Chipotle’s 2nd visit with CareFur Vets was a success. (Minus the p*e accident - oops) we had a great time waiting and playing before our vet came in. (I love that their rooms are big enough to train and play while we wait). He’s already over 30lbs 🫣
