For those considering adoption from us be prepared for answering two hard questions - where do you live and what veterinary care will you be providing? We use this information to decide who is approved to adopt or not. This does seem to upset quite a few applicants, but we are a small rescue and selective of who will adopt to and want our ferret friends to end up in the best homes possible for them where they are welcome to live and will get regular veterinary care.

Sorry for disappointment for those individuals that don't like the background checks and congratulations for those that get approved by our veterinarian.

PS - we are in Madison, Wisconsin. Go Packers!

Chai and Hazel are a pair of sweet girls that are again looking for their forever home! These are a great pair of girls that would fit into many situations such as by themselves or as part of a bigger group.

Opi is a younger adult male that is a big boy and a little more rambunctious. Since he does nip more as a young playful ferret, he would not be adopted out to someone without experience or with young children. He would not hold still for a better photo, so that will tell you a lot about his energy level!

Little Girl is just that, a sweet little girl. She actually arrived with the pair of boys Gunnar and Dexter, but she is not bonded with them and could be adopted by herself. She has meet other ferrets and seems to get along with calm ferrets. She has gotten an implant as well and all of her medical checks have come back normal for a 4 year old ferret.

New faces: Gunnar and Dexter. This is a pair of bonded males that are about 4 years old. Gunnar has received a suprelorin implant and is now sporting his new sable coat! These are sweet boys and will likely do well with other ferrets too.

It's been a little while since we have updated you with our adoptable ferret friends so here is the list and a few new faces will have their own posts to follow.

Singles: Little Girl and Opi
Pairs: Gunnar/Dexter and Hazel/Chai
Trios: Scotch/Bailey/Kahlua and Buddy/Moose/Loki

Ferrets are only adopted out to those with approved applications and applications are verified for information especially pertaining to your housing and your pet's Veterinary care. If you don't currently have a veterinarian, you will need to find an veterinarian before you adopt. Sorry, we do not make exceptions to this and saying you don't have a veterinarian lined up will likely result in your application being denied. Adoptions are also up to the discretion of Dr. Christman. We are looking to make sure our kids end up in forever homes. Doing your ferret research beforehand is recommended but we are willing to help you learn more.

We have some new faces at the rescue that will available for adoption soon. Opi is a 1.5 year old male who is silver colored. Little Girl is a 4 year old sable female and our charming Chai and Hazel duo are available for adoption again.

Liv and Will went to their new home this weekend! Sam with have his hands full with these energetic ferrets.
