See Bubba Walk LLC Specialized in-home pet sitting and dog walking service in the Madison area.

My name is Anna and I’m a professional pet sitter and dog walker in the Madison area. I’ve worked in the pet care industry for the past eight years and have held titles ranging from Kennel Assistant, Doggy Daycare Caretaker, Supervisor and Manager of a Pet Resort and Doggy Daycare. I started offering in-home pet sitting services while I was managing a pet resort and realized there was a dire need

for specialized in-home care for special needs dogs and cats. I’ve been pet sitting part-time for four years while also working part-time at boarding facilities and doggy daycares. Two years ago, I committed to my own business full time and started offering dog walking services in addition to my pet sitting services.

Nothing makes me more squirrelly than my dog friends finding a toad 🫠

My childhood dog, Bubba, ate a toad and got SO sick from that impulse decision! It’s one of those worst case scenarios that has shaped the way I work with the dogs I love.

A few weeks ago, Otis discovered this little guy in a bush at the private park. I’ve been doing my best to keep him safe but yesterday my most dedicated toad hunter found him too…

Enzo has had ‘eat a toad’ on his bucket list for YEARS. Our closest call ended with all three of us (toad + Enzo + me) taking a swim in swampy water after the toad panicked, Enzo lunged and I grabbed him. His momentum sent us into the water together but thankfully, that toad made it out safely. 🙃

I let Enzo go nose to nose with our little friend yesterday and we worked on being around the toad without lunging and grabbing. Enzo had a moment where he got too close and his nose made contact with the toad. Before I could shame him for it, he took off running 🥹

He eventually came back to watch the toad hop around from a very safe distance away and I am hoping we have decided toads are not an appealing snack after all 🤞🤞

August 10th is a bittersweet day for me.

Sweet because my old friend, Maggie, turned NINE today 🥹

Maggie was the dog who started my career as a dog walker and she’s watched me stumble through the years as I’ve found my way.
Our walks have turned into very slow meanders but she always saves a burst of energy to play fetch with her favorite toys when we get home.
Our communication has progressed away from words and I mostly just use hand signals and various grunts to let her know my requests.
She’s steady and predictable and such a good girl. 🩷

Today also marks one year since Louie crossed the rainbow bridge. 💔
I’ve found myself saying, “I wish Louie was here” countless times over the past year. The chaos at the private park, the long quiet walks through the woods, all the new snacks that have hit the market this year! He would have loved it all.

It’s still so painful to think of life without him but I know he is around in his own little way.

How lucky am I 💚

Two lil guys trying to navigate their big feelings in this big world 🥹

When I first started walking Dougl, it took him months of walking the same trails before he felt confident enough to walk ahead of me. He spent the first couple of months on high alert tucked right behind my heel for the entirety of our hikes. He started to trust me more and his confidence has grown exponentially!

Nelson and I have been going on nature walks for a few months now and he’s made so much progress from our first outing. He spent our first nature walk melting into the ground and trying his best to slip out of his (cat) harness 🫠 but now he happily prances next to me or right behind me in between sniffing.

This walk with Dougl was the first time he spent more than two seconds out in front of me 🤩 He seemed so content to follow Dougl’s lead and Dougl checked in on him frequently to make sure he was keeping up.

Moments like this make all the heartache worth it ❤️‍🩹

Heaven gained another good boy on Sunday 💔

Beau and I worked together for 7 years but I’d say we were only friends for about 6 years 🙃 He was slow to bond to me and very difficult to impress but after a solid year of walking him, he opened up and let me get to know him better.

I’ve learned it’s a mortal sin to call an animal stubborn but… Beau was stubborn as hell. 😇
And it didn’t make me love him any less.
It’s like he had an itinerary in his head for our adventures and if I deviated from his plan, he would protest every step of the way. I eventually got better at reading his signals and he improved on meeting me in the middle.

When I first met Beau, he was a bruiser!
He started fights, he ended fights, he joined fights he had no reason to be involved with. As the years went on, I got to watch him soften into a confident leader who leaned into his goofy side and only channeled his bruiser energy when absolutely necessary.

Beau spent his 11 years being the center of his owners’ universe and he couldn’t have had better advocates as he navigated some pretty scary health changes over the last couple years.

Beau was so deeply loved by so many people and dogs. Louie was one of Beau’s biggest fans and I can’t help but smile thinking about all the trouble they’re getting into somewhere.

Rest easy, Bee-Beau ❤️‍🩹
