🐾 Looking for the Right Home — AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgi 🐾
Currently in foster home:
looking for a wonderful, experienced forever home for this handsome boy. He is an almost 2-year-old AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgi, black-headed tri-color, intact male, and has sired one litter.
Time has been taken evaluating him, making sure he is healthy, getting to know his personality, and determining what type of home would be the best fit for him.
❤️ About him:
* Almost 2 years old
* AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgi
* Black-headed tri-color
* Intact male; has sired one litter with previous owner
* Raised around children ranging from babies to teenagers
* Socialized with other pets and people
* Friendly, outgoing, and loves being part of what’s going on
* Kennel trained and house trained
* Has been excellent in my home with MINIMAL accidents
* His foster reported only a few accidents, primarily when the kids were responsible for letting the dogs out and didn’t get them out in time
* LOVES being outdoors and would stay outside all day if you let him, but he is absolutely an indoor/family dog
One caveat- somewhere being raised he learned he may get away with being the boss and run the show without proper reinforcement training. He does not like being grabbed or restrained by his collar. He has never bitten, but he may snarl when someone grabs his collar. Because of this, would prefer a home with older, dog-savvy children who understand boundaries and won’t tug, grab, or pull on him and with a firm pet owner who knows how to properly raise a stubborn corgi with good intention’s!
He currently lives around twin 1-year-olds as well as children up through their teenage years and has done well. However, an older-child home/ no children would simply set him up for the most success long-term.
Serious inquires only . Will get you in contact and information .
