One of our favorite things to do as a family is go to the park together. Mave and I explore the open field while my husband and Harper play on the slides. This type of parallel play has been great for our family however, the park might not be the best or safest option for every family. The real reason I’ve been so quiet on socials??

I’m pregnant!

Another little girl, due in January. So exciting and so so tiring!

I’ll be sharing more real-time content around getting ready for baby #2, dog and all, so other expecting parents can follow along as it actually happens instead of just hearing tips after the fact.

It’s also going to make coaching our P.A.W.S & Pacis families feel a lot more personal, I’ll be living it right alongside you!

Exciting news!!

I am officially a licensed Family Paws Parent Educator (FPPE) through Dog–Baby–Toddler Safety Experts| Education For Growing Families !!

For those who may not know what an FPPE is, this is a professional credential for educators who are specially trained to support families navigating life with dogs and babies/ toddlers. Earning this credential means I’ve completed specialized education and training in preparing families, supporting safe interactions, understanding dog body language, and helping families navigate the transition to life with a new baby.

I’m also proud to be the only Family Paws Parent Educator currently serving the greater Madison area.

This credential is especially meaningful because it allows me to expand something I’ve been building for a long time: P.A.W.S & Pacis.

P.A.W.S & Pacis will offer:

🐾 Group classes for expecting and new families
🐾 Group classes for toddler families
🐾 One-on-one support tailored to your family
🐾 Homecoming guidance and preparation
🐾 Postpartum support and services

Because preparing a dog for a baby is about so much more than training. It’s about preparing the whole family by creating safe spaces, understanding body language, setting realistic expectations, building routines, and helping parents feel confident as they navigate this huge life change.

I’m so excited to bring this specialized education to families in the Madison area and to continue growing P.A.W.S & Pacis into a resource that families, doulas, childcare providers, and other child- and family-focused professionals can turn to before baby arrives, during those first weeks home, and throughout the transition into life together!
