We at Greenwood Farms would like to wish Dr Gardiner (Doc) a very happy birthday today. Dr Gardiner has been in business over 60 years. He is well loved by his employees, family, and clients. The first client that guesses his age correctly will win one month of flea and tick treatment for their cat or dog. Wish I could award a bigger prize but I'm already offering a prize without permission. πŸ˜€

The clinic is closing on Saturday, July 4th - party time! Just a friendly reminder, fireworks and eyebrows don't mix well, so keep those sparklers far away. And please, for the sanity of pets, keep them indoors during the fireworks display, where the only loud noise is the fridge humming along. We'll see you Monday, July 6, ready to fix any holiday mishaps.

This coming weekend May 23, 24 and 25 the clinic will be closed for the Observance of Memorial Day. Please remember and celebrate the military heroes that gave their lives so we could be free and able to live our lives as we wish. We will reopen Tuesday May 26 at 7:30 am.

We have gotten a lot of new followers, which is great and we welcome each and everyone of you. I'm going to repeat for the newbies a little bit of information. We are only open in the mornings. Mon, Tu, Thurs, Fri, and Sat, 7:30-11:30 am. We actually try to take our last client at 11:00 am so we can get everyone seen and still be able to close on time. (That doesn't always work though) lol. We don't do X-rays or bloodwork. If you think your pet needs either, we recommend Northside Wesleyan Animal Hospital (Dr Grice and Dr Wiley are wonderful) or Riverside Animal Hospital for either of those needs. We will however look at your pet and suggest if they need X-rays or bloodwork. We do neuter, but only male cats. Any other we recommend Fix a Pet (find them on FB) and SAFE (nolitters.org) for the lowest prices in town. Since we are only open for a few hours each day, I would suggest the best time to come is 7:30-10:00. Less crowded. We are so happy to welcome our new clients. We aren't your normal vet office, because we will come up and kiss your puppies and kittens.

This past Sunday the 22nd, we had a little excitement. One of our large pine trees decided to call it quits and layed herself across the back end of the clinic. And to add a little bit more excitement as if that wasn't enough, it landed on the propane tank. So I wanted to send a HUGE Thank You to Josh with Donny's Propane for rushing out to make sure he took care of the propane tank and made sure we were all safe. Also want to thank Corey and his crew with Gray Brothers Tree Service for coming right out and getting that tree out of the way. Luckily no harm was done to any animals. I can't imagine what went through their minds when they heard the crash. It didn't affect the kennels at all nor the office. I had left at 12 and between then and 2:00 when Julie came, it had fallen.

News Years Closing. We will be closed for New Years on Wednesday Dec 31, and Thursday January 1. We will reopen Friday at 7:30. And as usual we will be open Saturday 7:30 till 11:30. Hope everyone has a fun but safe New Years. Take your pets in (if possible) while all that crazy fireworks stuff is going on. Write your name and phone number on their collars if possible. Don't underestimate your dogs ability to get out of a fence if fireworks are going off nearby. Cats get scared too. If they can't come in the house put them in the garage. Horses, put phone numbers on the halter. And also important, think about the war veterans that live in your neighborhood that very well could suffer from PTSD.
