I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the start of summer!

I wanted to share an exciting update about some new services I've been developing and my partnership with Evolve Holistic Studio.

As many of you know, I began studying Animal Communication in October 2024. My original plan was to offer sessions during the dogs' midday nap time, but that hasn’t worked out as I had hoped! Between barking and interruptions (you’ve all met Cora), it has been challenging to create the focused space these sessions deserve.

Over the past few months, I've had the opportunity to connect with several practitioners at Evolve Holistic Studio, and we began discussing the possibility of using their beautiful space for Animal Communication, Reiki, and Huna Energy Work sessions. I'm thrilled to share that beginning in July, I'll be offering sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays, with occasional weekend availability.
As a result, daycare services will no longer be available on Mondays and Wednesdays. Daycare on Tuesdays and Thursdays will continue as usual, and boarding services will not be affected by these changes.

For those who may be unfamiliar with these new offerings, here's a brief overview:

Reiki is a gentle energy-based practice that helps calm the nervous system and encourages relaxation, balance, and healing. Many people describe it as feeling like a deep exhale for the body and mind.

Huna Energy Work incorporates ancient Hawaiian principles and symbols that focus on harmony, healing, and connection. It can help release emotional blocks, old patterns, and energetic stress while supporting greater clarity, peace, and well-being.

Together, Reiki and Huna create a nurturing space for the mind, body, and spirit to realign and return to a more natural state of balance. Whether you're seeking stress relief, emotional support, clarity, or simply time to reconnect with yourself, these sessions offer a gentle and supportive experience.

As I begin this new chapter, I'd love to thank all of you who have supported me and my business over the years. To show my appreciation, I'm offering all current clients a special introductory session rate of $55. This covers my session fee at the studio and gives me the opportunity to share this work with the people who have been such an important part of my journey. Human session will be offered in person and via Google Meet, animal sessions will be virtual and I will send a recording of the session after it is complete.

Thank you for your continued support, trust, and encouragement. I feel incredibly grateful to be able to grow in this new direction while continuing to care for your beloved animals.

Facts 💪

As a pet groomer, I’m a big believer in knowing my lane—and staying in it. While I love helping dogs look and feel their best, some things are best left to veterinary professionals for the safety and long-term health of the animal.

Here are a few procedures I won’t perform and why:
1. A**l gland expressions
Repeated manual expression can cause the glands to become dependent on external help rather than emptying naturally. This is something I always recommend owners have assessed and managed by a veterinarian.

2. Ear plucking
Plucking hair from the ear canal can create tiny micro-abrasions that leave the ears vulnerable to bacteria and recurrent infections. I prefer to trim excess hair safely when appropriate and leave deeper ear care to the vet.

3. Dangerously difficult or high-risk situations
This includes dogs that are “alligator rolling” (extreme fear or resistance during restraint) or severely pelted (matted fur that has formed a solid, tight layer against the skin). These cases carry high risk of injury to the dog and stress that can escalate quickly.

4. Embedded nails
When nails have overgrown so severely that they curve and pierce the paw pads, this requires proper veterinary evaluation and treatment to address pain, infection, and underlying issues.

5. Open wounds
Any active bleeding, raw skin, abscesses, or open injuries need medical attention first. Grooming around compromised skin can worsen the problem and delay healing.
At the end of the day, my job is to make dogs feel better, not risk their health. When in doubt, I always refer to the vet. Our pets deserve the right professional for the right job. 🐾
