Positive Energy Dog Training More than just training! We focus on the emotional and mental wellbeing of your dog to get to the core of their struggles.

Changing the emotional response to their environment creates happy, well balanced dogs. The goal of Positive Energy Dog Training is to help bridge the gap in communication between dogs and owners to create strong, lasting relationships built on trust. I work with all breeds and ages, offering programs ranging from basic obedience to behavioral modification. In my board and training programs, your dog will stay in my home as part of the family. I take in only a few dogs at one time to ensure each dog gets the attention they need with little downtime stuck in a kennel. I am also the only trainer so you can feel confident that the person training you is the same one who knows your dog’s personality and how to work with them. Board and train programs start at $900 for two weeks of training and increase in price by $300 per week for any additional time needed. I do not a list of programs by week because I tailor each program to the individual needs of each client.

Today was a HUGE milestone day for Sunday!!!

When Sunday first came in for training, she was afraid of everything. Even a simple walk around the block was a challenge, with her training to rush home the whole time or completely shutting down and refusing to move.

Today we decided to test all of the work we have been doing over the past few weeks with a trip to Lowe’s.

Sunday nailed it!

Pluto hasn’t been able to go on many outings with his owners due his behaviors and nervousness. Today was first day training in public, and Pluto did a fantastic job navigating the store!

Day one with Otis.

Otis was dropped off for our three week Travel Buddy program this morning and we got right to work on addressing his leash manners. In addition to leash manners, Otis needs help on greeting house guest, how to safely play with children without knocking them over, how to walk calmly next to a stroller, and how to settle down in general.

If this morning’s session is an indicator of how well he will do with the rest of training, Otis is going to do amazing things!
