For those of you who have asked how to help Rene. Michelle set these up yesterday.

“Hello! I wanted to share something important with you. My mom, Rene, has been a pillar in our community, caring for pets and helping others for years. Recently, she suffered a stroke and now faces a tough recovery. Your support can make a real difference in her journey back to health. Please consider donating or sharing her GoFundMe to help cover medical bills and therapy costs. Thank you for your kindness!”

Happy 4th from Huckleberry, Charlie and Rigley! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Did you know that July 4th ranks as one of the most hazardous days of the year for dogs, and July 5th consistently ranks as one of the top three highest intake days for strays in animal shelters across the U.S.?

Every year during 4th of July festivities, thousands of dogs (and cats) enter shelters after fleeing fireworks celebrations.

Fireworks produce sound levels louder than jet airplane takeoffs.

Dogs have much more acute hearing than humans, and these booming sounds trigger panic responses that can prove deadly.

Approximately 40% to 67% of dogs suffer from noise phobia, with fireworks and thunderstorms being the primary triggers.

Terrified animals often attempt desperate escapes, breaking through windows, jumping fences, and fleeing many miles from home.

Sadly, only about 14% of pets lost during the July 4th period ever return home, meaning the vast majority of holiday runaways are never reunited with their families.

▶️▶️ BE PREPARED ◀️◀️

📌Create a safe, quiet, and calm space for your dog if fireworks are going off near your home.

📌Play calming music.

📌Have a crate with your dog's favorite toys for comfort.

📌Close the curtains.

📌Try a thunder shirt or DIY anxiety wrap.

▶️▶️ GET I.D. TAGS IF YOU DON'T HAVE THEM ◀️◀️

Many Walmarts, as well as Petco, PetSmart, and other pet shops, have pet I.D. tag machines inside the stores. These machines make it quick, easy, and economical to get tags for your pet TODAY.

Even if your dog is microchipped ((which I highly recommend)), a collar with an I.D. tag is a very visible tool that provides an immediate connection between you and anyone who finds your dog, helping to quickly get him back home to you.

PLEASE don't let your dog become a 4th of July holiday celebration statistic.
