The soft nose loping bridle is a customer favorite. It works best for green horses, or finished horses, and everything in between! Literally any horse can use this and be comfortable. It's great if you just want to give your horse a break from a bit, but most people use it full time. A great bitless option that keeps with the western look.
The hanger is made from biothane, easy to care for and made in every color. The rein is a continuous rope that gives you a 7 ft split rein. The binding under the chin keeps the caveson from tightening under the chin. The fiador throat latch makes it adjustable, and when ordering, you can give me exact nose measurement to ensure a perfect fit,

I wonder if people ever really think about the equipment we use on our horses and where it comes from.
I spend a lot of time with a rope in my hand, and I want that to be comfortable for me. I want the same rope that feels comfortable in my hand to also feel comfortable on my horse's face. Which is why I have done a significant amount of research into what feels good to both horse and handler.
When I say that our rope is made from recycled plastics, I think people get the idea that our rope is made from something hard and crunchy. Which is far from the truth. Our rope isn't a plastic bottle twisted into the shape of a rope and is in fact used in international sailing competitions across the world. The manufacturer of the rope is one of the leaders in the rope industry and certainly a leader in sustainability. Even the packaging they use to ship their rope out is designed to have the smallest impact possible on our planet.
All lead ropes and rope halters are made from plastics. That's just the reality of the world we live in. It becomes more obvious every day why we don't need to make more of it. So why not use something that feel good in your hand, and stays soft on your horse's face, while also being easy on the planet? It is an innovative product, produced by leaders in their field, tied and spliced by me just for you and your horse.

Nakoa has always been a favorite around here. I have 3 buckskins, and Nakoa is the one that will typically come over to any one and stand next to the for some attention.
He's one of our sanctuary horses. Originally purchased 5 years ago from the Warm Springs reservation, he was trained for sale. he was even sold once, but his buyer was unable to keep up with payments, so I took him back. Which turned out to be what was best for him.
Nakoa was diagnosed as ataxic. Which means he doesn't always know where his back end is so he walks a bit funny, bunny hops a bit when galloping and isn't safe to ride since he could potentially fall easily. Currently I have never seen him fall over, but ataxia is likely progressive. So he just lives in the pasture and is given a high level of vitamin e (along with the rest of his supplements) to help slow the progression.
Nakoa's favorite thing to do with liberty circles around you, since that was one of the first things he learned. And he loves to sidepass over to you for pats. He actually a really fun horse to have around!

Have I mentioned that we are 5 Star sellers on Etsy?

Our sustainable rope tack items are top sellers, turns out helping the planet is a popular idea! Everything in the Etsy shop is in stock and ready to ship. If you see something that you like and it is sold out, you can always request a restock so I know to make that item next. But I am just one person, so when I sell out, it can sometimes take a while for me to get things made. I am also easily distracted by horses 😆 So there's always that chance I'm off playing with Shakespeare and have no idea people are waiting for me to restock. Sorry I haven't updated you on our Shakespeare, but honestly there isn't much to tell. His surgery is scheduled for October 13th, so we are in a holding pattern for now.
He comes in during the day for extra feed. With his teeth being damaged, I like to try and get two soaked meals in him each day. So you'd never know he has bad teeth since he looks fantastic. He is still on one Equioxx daily for pain, so he seems just fine while we wait.
He seems to be getting along a little better with the herd. It's hard to tell sometimes, but in the mornings. he is often hanging with the big herd. There are still one or two horses he can't help but chase, but overall, there seem to be less stud behavior as time goes on.
So that's it for now. If you want to help with Shakespeare's vet bills, the best way is to do some shopping! For items that are in stock and ready to ship, go to our Etsy store. Holiday items go pretty fast, and I am running low on Halloween halters. Best to get yours ASAP!

Did everyone have a fun and relaxing labor day? Hope so!
Now that the summer season is officially over, Magic & Charm are off the market until they get their 2 year old training next year. They will be enjoying the winter doing basically nothing. Freya has restarted training and she will be available again once Moon is able to be weaned mid October. I haven't quite decided what to do with Moonie. Not sure yet if she is a keeper or for sale. So I will list her once she is halter broke and see if the right person comes along. At the same time, she is gaited and I love me a gaited mustang so she may just stay here. We will see!
