Meet Walker! Walker is a neutered male, two years old, who did not come from our kennel. He and his brother (a Flat Coat born here) came to us because their owner had a major medical emergency. Sadly, she will not be able to care for them again. Walker's Flat Coat brother is being adopted by a friend, but Walker still needs a home. He is a big, tall guy, and was definitely overweight when he arrived. With diet and exercise, he is down to about 90 pounds. He is friendly with female dogs and other neutered males, but is quite a barker when in a group setting with other dogs. Walker is house trained and walks pretty well on a leash. He sits on command. He is not growly but seems somewhat nervous around children. His owner's growing medical concerns kept him fairly isolated at home when he was a pup, up to the time of his arrival here. His owner was unable to provide me with his vaccination records, but said he had all the puppy vaccinations and was up to date. I think he would do best in a home with adults and at least one other friendly, neutered dog. There is a small adoption fee to cover our expenses.
