Earlier this month, this gull arrived at the PAWS Wildlife Rehabilitation Center after being found too young to fly at a shipyard in Seattle. The bird was covered in an unknown pink residue.

Our wildlife team performed X-rays and, thankfully, found no major concerns. The gull was given a thorough wash to remove the residue, and while a light pink stain remains on some of its feathers, it should not affect the feathers’ ability to stay waterproof.

The gull has since been moved to an outdoor enclosure and, hopefully, will be taking flight again soon!

Adopt this good boy! 🐶🐾 Deuce has been waiting far too long for his forever home.

In honor of National Dog Day 🐶 💙 ...Meet Deuce! This lovable 60-pound gentleman is ready to charm his way into your heart. Deuce spent some time in a foster home, where he showed off his great house manners, crate training, and nice leash skills.
He enjoys a good game of fetch when you find just the right stuffed toy! And when playtime is over, Deuce is always ready for some cuddles. Give him the chance, and he’ll happily curl up beside you in bed or even settle onto your lap.

Earlier this month, PAWS took in two more American Black Bear cubs. When they arrived, our wildlife team performed thorough exams and radiographs to make sure both cubs were healthy and doing well. Thankfully, both are looking good!

The PAWS wildlife team has been providing these bears with the proper nutrition, medical treatment, enrichment, and specialized care needed to grow strong and eventually return to the wild.

As with all wild patients, human contact is always kept to a minimum and limited to essential medical checkups. Our goal is to always keep every animal wild and return them back to where they belong. 🌲

We now have FIVE American Black Bears in care. You could say we’ve got our PAWS full! 🐾🐻
