This is an organization that comes through during someone's worst time and keeps families together. Please consider helping if you can.
Last week, Providence Hospital called us.
A senior patient had arrived needing critical care and brought her dog with her. She had no one to take him. It took two hours for her to trust he'd be safe before she could focus on getting well.
A police officer watched it happen and took our number: "There are so many instances I could have used your help."
That dog is safe. Today we worked with the fire department to place another dog whose person needs surgery. Five dogs have entered our Foster Boarding Program in the last week. Three more cats are coming into our care in the next week. Eight pets in two weeks.
Our 365 Nights of Safety campaign ends October 15th and we're $11,000 short of our goal.
If we can't close this gap, we can't answer the next call. We can't help families in their most desperate moments. We can't help nurses trying to focus on saving lives. We can't help police officers and fire departments responding to emergencies.
Every $49 is one more night we can say yes when someone calls. The link is in the comments below. Please help today, if you can.
