🐾💙 Happy Veterinary Technician Week! Meet Lori! 💙🐾

If you've been part of the Peaks View family for a while, chances are you already know this familiar face!

Lori has been with Peaks View Animal Hospital since we first opened our doors in 2000! That's over 26 years of caring for patients, building relationships with clients, and being an incredible part of our team.

Over the years, Lori has worn many hats, from working in our treatment room to helping at the front desk. These days, you'll find her heading up our Technician Appointments, where she combines her years of experience with her passion for helping pets and their people.

And if you really want to make her day? Bring her a bully breed or anything with a squishy face! 🐶😍 Her love for those adorable, wrinkly faces is absolutely unmatched!

Lori's dedication, knowledge, and genuine love for her patients have made her such a special part of Peaks View's story.

Help us celebrate Lori this Veterinary Technician Week! Drop a little love in the comments, especially if you and your pet have had the pleasure of working with her over the years! 💙🐾

🐾💙 **Happy National Veterinary Technician Week!** 💙🐾

Behind every healthy pet, successful procedure, and comforting moment is a team of dedicated veterinary professionals who give their all every single day.

This week, we're celebrating our incredible veterinary technicians at Peaks View Animal Hospital!

They're the ones drawing blood, monitoring anesthesia, assisting in surgery, comforting nervous patients, educating pet parents, and doing a hundred other things that often happen behind the scenes.

They wear many hats, juggle countless responsibilities, and somehow still find time for extra snuggles with their patients. 🐶🐱

Veterinary medicine wouldn't be the same without their knowledge, skill, compassion, and dedication.

To our amazing vet tech team: THANK YOU for the hearts, hands, and hard work you bring to Peaks View every day. We appreciate you more than words can express! 💙

Help us celebrate our technicians by leaving them a little love in the comments! 🐾

POV: You work in veterinary medicine and spot literally ANY animal outside.

Fox across the parking lot?
Deer on the side of the road?
Random woodland creature minding its own business?

We will stop what we're doing to look. Every. Single. Time.

It's not just us, right? 😂🐾

👻🦷 **Did someone say spooky season is coming?!** 🦷👻

Apparently our veterinary technicians are already getting into the spirit…and when you work in vet med, you have some *interesting* craft supplies available. 😂

Meet our latest clinic creation, made from **pet hair collected in the hospital and REAL teeth that were extracted during dental procedures.** Add a couple of creepy eyes and suddenly… whatever *this* is has joined the Peaks View team. 👀😂

Is it slightly unsettling? Yes.
Is it oddly adorable? Also yes.
Are we impressed by our techs' creativity? **Absolutely.**

Just another completely normal day behind the scenes in veterinary medicine. 🎃🐾

Now we need a name for these little creatures… **what should we call them?** 👇

🐾💙 **Those EARS though!** 💙🐾

Throwing it back to a July visit from **Willow**, an adorable 9-month-old mixed breed who was adopted from the Lynchburg Humane Society. 🐶

Sweet face? ✔️
Happy girl? ✔️
**Possibly the BEST ears we've ever seen? Absolutely.** 😂😍

We loved having Willow visit us and couldn't resist sharing this cuteness again.

👇 On a scale of 1–10, how would you rate those ears? (Correct answer: 12.)

Veterinary people trying to act normal when we see literally ANY animal in public:

“HI!!! 👋🥹”

Dog across the street? Hi.
Cat in a window? Hi.
Cow in a field? HI BABY.
Random bear in the woods? Apparently… also hi. 😂🐻

We spend all day with animals and somehow still get ridiculously excited every single time we see one.

There is no off switch. 🐾

Who else immediately acknowledges every animal they pass? 😂

**Never Forget. 🇺🇸🐾**

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, the families forever changed, and the first responders who ran toward unimaginable danger.

And as an animal hospital, we also want to remember a group of heroes whose service is especially close to our hearts: **the dogs who worked at Ground Zero and other sites that day and in the difficult days and weeks that followed.**

Search-and-rescue dogs and their handlers worked tirelessly through debris, smoke, noise, and exhaustion. Other dogs provided comfort to grieving families and overwhelmed responders. They couldn't understand the magnitude of what had happened, but they knew their jobs...and they showed up when people needed them most.

The photos we're sharing today are a tribute to those remarkable dogs and the humans who worked beside them.

Courage comes in many forms. Sometimes, it comes on four paws.

Today we remember them all. **9/11 — Never Forget.** ❤️🤍💙🐾
