Happy 5th Birthday to the one and only !! Feels like I just brought you home and now you're all grown up. Here's to many more years of yard patrol, begging for cheese, and that silly face. Love you puppa ❤️

This time of year is always a good reminder of how much dogs add to our lives — the routines, the structure, the laughs, and the quiet moments at home. Whether you’re celebrating with a new puppy, an old friend, or somewhere in between, I hope this season is calm, cozy, and filled with good walks and plenty of treats.
Thank you to everyone who supported my small business this year, trusted me with their dogs, shared my name, or followed along here. It truly means more than I can put into words.
Wishing you and your dogs a great holiday season and a smooth start to the new year.

Kids love cuddling dogs — but not every dog loves it back. When a dog turns its head, stiffens up, licks its lips, or shows the whites of its eyes, they’re saying “I’m not comfortable.”

In my newest blog post, I explain what these calming signals look like, why they matter, and how teaching kids (and ourselves!) to respect them keeps everyone safer and happier.

Dominance theory is outdated, unscientific, and often harmful.
If someone told you your dog is trying to “be the alpha,” it’s time for a better explanation. In my newest blog post, I break down where this myth came from, why it persists, and how modern training takes a smarter, more humane approach.

Tired of the same old KONG routine? Try these healthy filling ideas

KONG toys are hollow, durable chew puzzles that let you turn mealtime into a fun enrichment activity. Instead of “just peanut butter,” think of the KONG as a food puzzle that challenges your dog’s mind while rewarding them with tasty bites. To keep things fresh (and cool!) in summer, you can f...
