“How often to police dogs receive training?” As often as possible! A dog is never truly done learning, and there is always work to do. Kilo is working on seam work and odor obedience. The goal is for her to listen and be obedient… until she finds a target odor. From that point forward her job is to stay on source, regardless of any distractions or commands to the contrary.

Jupiter was back for a long weekend of “bonus boarding!” You know… boarding with refresher training mixed in🤯. She learned how to spin, shake, and we touched up her other obedience commands. This little girl is back with her owner after her first semester of the doggy Master’s program 🐕 This fun little 6 month old is welcome back at anytime!

I love getting updates from clients! It has been a tough shed season for most, but Maggie is on the board with a fresh brown deer antler down in Utah! The Walker family was so kind to keep me updated, and to send a picture with some artwork that my daughter drew for them! Keep hunting them up Maggie!

Piper is graduating today after two weeks of basic obedience refresh class. She has improved each day, and has is ready to go see her family! Today will be in-home training with her owners, to transfer her skills and teach them how to continue her progress!

Piper came to me with some fear of being around men she didn’t know…. And I’m a man she doesn’t know! We’re bonding, and she’s learning to pay attention to me rather than be fearful of me, and all the big scary things in her environment. We’re making progress, but I don’t think she’d buy me a birthday present if today was my birthday 🤣. Showing her confidence, calmness, and consistency will be the key to her success.
