So commercials bug me. The way things are worded to sound like something they aren't. Words that sound like they say good things about the food when in fact they say nothing at all.

They do this to trick consumers who don't know the "down and dirty" of the industry.

The one that bugs me most is a brand that claims to have made a promise to always use the highest quality ingredients. The problem with this is that the governing bodies of the pet food manufacturing industry only have a list of "approved ingredients", they make no differentiation based on quality. Yet there is a huge difference between human grade ingredients and the lowest quality of the pet grade ingredients such as 4D meats (diseased, down, dead, and dying).

Therefore, from an advertising standpoint , any ingredient on the approved ingredient list is high quality if the company chooses to say so.

Brands loaded with filler ingredients like corn, wheat, ground up peanut hulls, feathers, etc. can also claim "no fillers" because there is only a list of "approved ingredients" and no list that separates healthy from unhealthy or just devoid of nutrient value.

Rant over, lol. I was just watching TV and I get so mad at the companies that walk such a fine line on the false advertising rules. Always do your homework and ask lots of questions. A company spending millions of dollars to tell you they make good food may not actual be spending money on what is in the package.
