Let's start off the day with a little joy, shall we friends?!? Journey back with me y'all to the days of the "Kevin Rockow and Deanna Michelle go a wanderin'" saga...

As you'll recall, Deanna decided to shack up just across the neighbor's property line ... with her big ole clutch of eggs! After moving them safely to Kate Maree (who kindly and lovingly hatched them), our determined Mama once again sauntered her little b***y across state lines and started all over again... Talk about a woman on a mission! It was clear we had a challenge on our hands and after some deliberation, we decided it was best to relocate Deanna and Kevin back to their roots at Bad Luck Homestead. Amanda had hatched them as babies and gifted them to us after our loss of Mark Evans and Fiona, so we knew they were going back to the perfect home.

Okay... I KNOW y'all see where this is going! Yeeeeep... it wasn't just a few days later, and the text popped up, "Deanna is sitting on a nest of eggs!" Only this time... our little doting Mama FINALLY got to enjoy the brooding process and naturally hatch seven teeny tiny little babies! Holy moly... we are just over the moon excited for this adorable little family! It is clear how much she loves them as she walks carefully around them and protects them as scurry about. I am not sure I have ever seen something so darling!

We are thrilled that this little family can now live out their lives carefree and content! Now... I am not sure how Amanda is going handle "Turkey-Geddon" over there, but luckily she is taking it all in stride and just letting turkeys be turkeys... like the good Lord intended!

In honor of National Dog Day, Farm Dog Bruce would like to remind y’all that you can be anything you set your heart on being!

Case in point …. Today he miraculously transformed from a scrubbing bubble into a pipe cleaner!

** Serious shout out to Danielle Sperber at Peaceful paws grooming spa LLC for taking on two polar bears (Olive Loaf and Cyrus) AND a Bruce-a-Saurus today!!! Literal dog whisperer … 🩵

Time to declutter the last six years of chaos...

And, yes... this also means that the farm will be on the market very soon. 🥺

** Also, for those who have been asking, we will likely have a small "farm/barn/animal supply" sale in the coming weeks after we get through all of the buildings.

Penny: “Mom… over here, take my picture!”

Me: “PENNY!!! The answer is still NO!!! You are NOT starting an Only Goats account!”

A truly bittersweet way to start our day... Special thanks to Tina Dettman-Bielefeldt and the Green Bay Press-Gazette for sharing our incredible journey.

Every day is now filled with such emotion... but the greatest is always gratitude. For all we've been able to accomlish in our six years, for all of the support along the way and for the opportunity for yet another second chance.
