Today marks an incredible milestone as Madison took her oath at Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine and officially begins her journey as part of their very first graduating veterinary class!

We couldn't be more proud of her dedication, hard work, and passion for helping animals. The veterinary profession is gaining a compassionate and talented future veterinarian, and we are excited to watch her continue to achieve great things.

Florida heat is already making an impact — and summer hasn’t even officially started yet ☀️🐾

Over the last few weeks, we have already treated several heat stroke cases in pets. With rising temperatures and Florida humidity, it can happen faster than many pet owners realize.

🚨 Signs of heat stroke in pets:
• Excessive panting
• Heavy drooling
• Weakness or stumbling
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Bright red gums
• Collapse or unresponsiveness

🐶 Tips to keep pets safe:
• Walk early in the morning or later in the evening
• Always provide access to fresh water and shade
• Avoid hot pavement that can burn paw pads
• Never leave pets in parked vehicles
• Keep flat-faced breeds like Bulldogs, Pugs, and Frenchies especially cool

Heat stroke is a medical emergency and can become life-threatening very quickly. If your pet is showing signs of overheating, move them to a cool area, offer small amounts of water, and seek veterinary care immediately.

Please take the heat seriously this season — we already are seeing the effects, and summer is only getting started ❤️🐾

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was originally bred to be a loving companion for royalty — and today they’re still known for their affectionate, gentle personalities! ❤️

These sweet pups thrive on human companionship and are wonderful family dogs thanks to their friendly and adaptable nature. Cavaliers also enjoy daily walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles with their favorite people.

Pet parents should be aware that Cavaliers can be prone to certain health conditions, including:
• Heart disease (especially mitral valve disease)
• Ear infections
• Eye conditions
• Luxating patellas
• Syringomyelia

Routine veterinary exams and early detection are key to helping Cavaliers live long, happy, healthy lives. 🩺🐾
