James and John came in for their kitten visit! 🐾🐾

Regular kitten appointments are essential for keeping growing cats healthy. These visits allow us to monitor their development, administer important vaccines and preventives, and identify potential concerns early—all while helping kittens become more comfortable with veterinary care.

We also use Fear Free techniques to help reduce stress. Once safely inside the exam room, we open the carrier and give cats time to explore or come out at their own pace. Keeping the carrier nearby provides a familiar, secure space where they can relax—just like James and John! 💙

Starting with calm, positive visits during kittenhood can make veterinary care easier for a lifetime.

🐾 Help Us Find Bear Her Perfect Forever Home 🐾

After the heartbreaking loss of her mom, sweet Bear is looking for a loving family to call her own. ❤️

Bear is a 12-year-old spayed Shiba Inu/Terrier mix who still has so much love to give. She enjoys cuddles, pets, loves chewing on toys (especially squeaky ones!), and has a gentle, affectionate personality.

Because this is such a big change for her, Bear can be a little anxious and will need a patient family willing to give her time to settle in. She is dog-selective and would do best in a home without cats.

Her current family is committed to helping her transition and is even willing to continue paying for her pet insurance, as well as assist with food and other financial needs if possible, to ensure she has everything she needs.

This week, Dr. Ford performed her first endoscopy! We’re so proud to celebrate this exciting accomplishment and grateful to have had Dr. Clarke and Dr. Kowalewski by her side to provide guidance, answer questions, and share their expertise every step of the way. Did you know that All Creatures Animal Hospital offers endoscopy services?

Endoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that allows our doctors to look inside the gastrointestinal tract or airways using a small camera. It can be used to:
🐾 Retrieve certain swallowed foreign objects without surgery
🐾 Investigate chronic vomiting or diarrhea
🐾 Evaluate esophageal, stomach, or intestinal disease
🐾 Obtain biopsies for diagnosis
🐾 Examine the upper airways in select cases

Because it often avoids the need for more invasive surgery, endoscopy can mean less discomfort and a quicker recovery for many patients.

Beau came in today for his annual exam and a nail trim! 🐾💙

Like many dogs, Beau gets very anxious when it’s time for a nail trim. To help make the experience less stressful, Dr. Miller recommended trying pre-visit calming medications before his appointment.

The difference was incredible! ✨ Beau was much more relaxed, making his nail trim a calmer, safer, and more positive experience for everyone….especially Beau.

If your pet gets nervous about vet visits, nail trims, or other procedures, don’t hesitate to talk with one of our doctors. There are safe and effective options that can help reduce stress and make future visits much more comfortable.

While we all enjoy celebrating, the holiday can be overwhelming for our pets. Loud fireworks, unfamiliar guests, and tasty table scraps can all pose risks.

Here are a few ways to help keep your pet safe:
🐶 Keep them indoors and away from fireworks.
🌭 Avoid sharing table scraps that may be toxic.
🏷️ Make sure their ID tags and microchip information are up to date.
