Exciting things are coming to Cheval! 🎉🐾 Our new CT machine will be ready for patients soon!

CT scans provide detailed, cross-sectional images that help our veterinarians see what’s happening inside your pet’s body, investigate concerns, and plan treatment. 💙

Today, our team got hands-on experience learning the machine and practicing patient positioning techniques. We’re excited to bring this advanced imaging technology to your pets’ care!

Stay tuned for updates! 👀

🚨 When your pet suddenly isn’t acting like themselves, having a veterinary team you already know and trust can make a stressful moment a little easier.

At Cheval Animal Hospital, we’re here for the visits you plan for and many of the ones you don’t. With urgent veterinary care available seven days a week, our team can help when an illness, injury, or unexpected concern arises.

Why start with your regular veterinary team?

🐾 We know your pet. Their medical history, medications, previous test results, and ongoing health concerns are already part of the bigger picture.
❤️ We’re a familiar place with familiar faces. That can bring a little extra comfort when an unexpected visit is needed.
🔬 Many urgent concerns can be evaluated and treated right here, with our team helping determine what your pet needs next.
🏥 We’re AAHA-accredited and Cat Friendly Certified, reflecting our commitment to high standards of veterinary care and a more comfortable experience for our feline patients.
🤝 Care doesn’t end with the urgent visit. Our team can continue to follow your pet’s progress and incorporate today’s care into their ongoing health needs.
🚑 If your pet needs emergency or specialty care beyond what we can provide, we can help guide you to the appropriate next step.

As a locally and independently owned veterinary hospital, we’re proud to be here for Lutz-area pets through the expected and the unexpected. 💙

A quinceañera fit for a queen! 👑💕 We celebrated Dr. Nichols’ sweet pup Tutsi turning 15 years old, and of course, her friends showed up to party! Happy birthday, beautiful girl! 🎉🐾

POV: You walked through the wrong door at your vet hospital… 😂🚪🐾

Some doors lead to exam rooms. Others lead to whatever our team is up to. 🤣💙

Tonight we traded scrubs for the hockey rink! 🏒❤️

We had such a fun night cheering on our Medical Director, Dr. Dutton, and one of our amazing veterinarians, (our goalie!) Dr. Brake, as they hit the ice! 🥅👏

What made the night even better was having team members and their families from multiple hospitals there cheering them on — plus one of our longtime clients who has been part of the Cheval family since the very beginning. 🥹❤️

At Cheval, we don’t just work together… we show up for each other. And we always manage to have a pretty great time doing it! 🏒😂

Work family on and off the clock. ❤️🐾

Thor is here to remind everyone that being this cute is only *one* part of being a healthy puppy. ⚡️🐶💙

August is National Immunization Awareness Month! 💉 Puppy vaccines and boosters help build protection against serious diseases while their immune systems are still developing.

Those first few puppy visits are important for setting them up for a happy, healthy future — with plenty of treats and cuddles along the way! 🩺🐾

🐾 **Double the wrinkles, double the trouble!** 🐾

Meet Teddy & Ziggy! 💙 These two adorable pug pups are here to remind us that puppyhood is the perfect time to build a healthy foundation for life.

Those first few visits aren’t just about vaccines—they’re also important for:
✨ Monitoring growth & development
💉 Staying on track with vaccines
🪱 Parasite prevention & screening
🦷 Checking those growing teeth
🐾 Socialization & creating positive vet experiences

Starting healthy habits early helps set puppies like Teddy & Ziggy up for a lifetime of happy tail wags… and plenty of pug mischief. 🥹🐶🐶

Vet med knowledge… but make it competitive. 😂🐾

We put two coworkers head-to-head to see who could name something in veterinary medicine starting with the letter we called out first! 🩺🔤

Turns out working in vet med also requires quick reflexes. 😂 Who do you think won? 👀

We may be a little late to International Cat Day… but around here, every day is Cat Day! 😹🐾💙

The best way to celebrate our feline friends? Keeping them happy and healthy! ✨ Routine wellness exams are especially important for cats because they’re masters at hiding when something isn’t quite right. Regular checkups can help catch subtle changes early and keep your kitty feeling their best. 🩺🐱

Happy belated International Cat Day from the Cheval team! 💕
