💔 In Loving Memory of Teddy🐾🌈
We welcomed little Teddy into our rescue at the beginning of October after he arrived from Pasco County Animal Services as an extremely urgent, deadline kitten. Teddy was in heartbreaking condition. He was emaciated, lethargic, pale and even smelled of smoke. His tiny body struggled to maintain its temperature, requiring constant heat support and around-the-clock syringe feedings. Despite our best efforts, his condition continued to deteriorate, and he began showing signs of acute kidney failure.
Our friends at Harmony Vet Care graciously squeezed Teddy in for urgent medical care, where he received treatment, including IV fluids, as we desperately tried to give his little body a fighting chance. Sadly, despite everyone's best efforts, medical treatment, countless hours of care and so much love, our sweet Teddy passed away a few days later in the middle of the night, cradled in his foster mom's arms. 💔
We are devastated. Teddy deserved so much more than the short, difficult life he was given. He deserved to grow up, play with toys, chase his kitten friends and experience all the wonderful things life should have offered him. While we couldn't change his beginning or save him in the end, we were able to make sure his final days were filled with warmth, comfort, full bellies, gentle hands and unconditional love.

Rest peacefully, sweet Teddy. We wish we could have given you a lifetime, but we hope the love you experienced in your final days was enough to make up for even a little of what you endured. 🌈🐾
